  • Register patients
  • Gather complete and accurate demographic and insurance information from patients and families
  • Identify uninsured patients for referral to Medical Assistance/Charity Care evaluation
  • Retrieve orders and confirm medical necessity
  • Answer phones for outpatient visits
  • Gather worker’s comp or auto insurance information from accident patients
  • Collect patient out-of-pocket liability/copays
  • Verify insurance and confirm referrals and authorizations are on file, if required
