About the job
- At least 2 years of plumbing experience.
- A journeyman plumbing license is required.
- A strong understanding of plumbing systems.
- Knowledge of local plumbing codes.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- A valid driver's license.
- Must meet the company's motor vehicle record eligibility requirements.
- Diagnose plumbing system issues and present repair options.
- Install, repair, service, and maintain plumbing systems at commercial and residential sites.
- Install water heaters, boilers, faucets, toilets, sinks, and other plumbing fixtures; handle emergency plumbing services, including water line leaks, burst pipes, and clogged drains.
- Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes and regulations.
- Clearly communicate system findings to customers and explain required and recommended repairs and upgrades.
- Provide detailed, multi-option quotes and discuss repair or upgrade choices.
- Identify opportunities to offer additional services, upgrades, or preventative maintenance.
- Recognize work that requires permitting and communicate with the office to obtain permits.
- Consistently meet or exceed assigned daily, weekly, or monthly revenue goals.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all work completed, including photos, notes, and hours worked.
- Fulfill on-call duties according to the department schedule.
- Safely operate and maintain the assigned company vehicle and equipment.
- Commercial plumbing experience is preferred.
