Requirements
  • A valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class A or B) is required.
  • A clean driving record with no major violations is required.
  • Candidates must pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Candidates must be skilled in operating large, heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
  • Candidates must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and perform manual labor.
  • Candidates must be able to work long overnight shifts in various weather conditions.
  • Candidates must be comfortable working in industrial environments and around waste materials.
  • Candidates must be proficient with GPS and route navigation systems.
  • Candidates must be able to work independently and remain calm and focused under pressure.
Responsibilities
  • Safely operate and drive a Vactor vacuum truck during daytime hours.
  • Operate vacuum and hydro-excavation equipment to clean, remove, and transport liquids, sludge, and debris.
  • Perform industrial cleaning services for storm drains, sewer lines, lift stations, and catch basins.
  • Ensure materials are safely contained, transported, and disposed of according to regulations.
  • Set up and break down hoses, vacuum lines, and related equipment.
  • Follow designated routes and schedules while maintaining efficiency and timeliness.
  • Communicate with dispatch and supervisors as needed.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle and equipment inspections.
  • Monitor weather and site conditions before and during operations.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the truck, tools, and work areas.
  • Perform routine maintenance, including refueling, checking fluids, and inspecting hoses.
  • Report mechanical issues, safety concerns, or job site problems to management.
  • Accurately track and log working hours and job details.
  • Comply with company policies, safety procedures, Department of Transportation requirements, and applicable regulations.
Desired Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • A tanker and/or hazardous materials endorsement is preferred, or willingness to obtain one.
  • Five or more years of commercial driving or equipment operation experience is preferred.
  • Experience operating vacuum trucks, hydro-excavation equipment, Vac-Con, septic trucks, pump trucks, or similar equipment is preferred.
