About the job

Requirements
  • Experience working in complex, global organisations, ideally within Consumer Health or FMCG sectors.
  • Strong analytical skills to analyse complex processes, understand workflow patterns, and identify inefficiencies.
  • Knowledge of process modelling software and data analysis tools, and familiarity with automation technologies.
  • Project management skills to plan, manage, and execute process improvement initiatives.
  • Proven experience operating in a transformation landscape with parallel programmes, leveraging existing design artefacts and driving pragmatic alignment rather than duplicating work.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end planning processes and the enabling architecture across ERP (SAP S/4) and APS (SAP IBP), including implications for data, controls, and operational execution.
  • Experience defining and governing system integration requirements, including interfaces, cut-offs, reconciliations, and data ownership, and translating these into business process controls and standard work.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive KPI-based performance management in a system-enabled planning environment, such as forecast accuracy and bias, adherence to IBP cadence, and issue resolution effectiveness.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and technical teams to resolve cross-programme dependencies and deliver a seamless, user-centric planning experience.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate a team to work together toward shared goals.
  • Ability to build strong collaborative relationships with team members.
  • Ability to evaluate challenges from multiple perspectives, analyse potential outcomes, take calculated risks, and make decisions that advance the organisation.
  • Ability to identify the need for change, execute structured change management strategies, guide teams through uncertainty and disruption, and maintain operational stability and continuity during transformation.
Responsibilities
  • Shape, measure, and continuously improve process elements to deliver business value.
  • Partner with the Business Process Owner and other Business Process Experts to manage the current process, ensure proposed changes align with the intended future state, define the future end-to-end process vision and roadmap, create high-quality, well-controlled, user-centric processes, and drive the transition from current to future state through disciplined execution, governance, and change delivery.
  • Support the Business Process Owner in maximising value delivery through performance management, adoption oversight, and continuous improvement, ensuring committed benefits are realised and sustained.
  • Partner with the SAP IBP APS programme to align process, data, and governance outcomes.
  • Maintain a coherent end-to-end planning operating model across programmes, focusing on gap closure, standardisation, and usability where future-state design is already defined.
  • Clarify how end-to-end planning and IBP processes integrate across Supply Chain, Commercial, and Finance, and how SAP S/4 ERP and SAP IBP APS enable those processes.
  • Define integration touchpoints between SAP S/4 and SAP IBP, including planning master data, product and location hierarchies, calendars, key figures, and inbound and outbound interfaces, ensuring planning accuracy, timeliness, and auditability.
  • Collaborate with the Business Process Owner and relevant functions or operating units to ensure design meets requirements and strategic objectives.
  • Facilitate workshops to gather input and feedback, socialise recommendations, and refine and finalise process design with functions, operating units, the Business Process Owner, and other Business Process Experts.
  • Document future-state processes with the Business Process Owner and support evaluation of current-state processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and duplication.
  • Drive decisions through governance forums and communicate decisions to stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Align designs with programme timelines and milestones, coordinating with other functional areas and interdependent programmes.
  • Review and validate existing SAP IBP APS implementation process design outputs, including process flows, design decisions, templates, and roles, and translate them into Plan to Forecast value stream standards and documentation.
  • Identify and resolve process and design gaps across concurrent change initiatives, including differences in planning calendars, hierarchy definitions, roles and responsibility matrices, and KPI calculations, and drive alignment through agreed governance.
  • Define and document end-to-end process steps and controls dependent on S/4 and IBP integration, including data-object ownership and decision points across systems.
  • Coordinate cross-functional agreement on standard demand planning concepts implemented in IBP, including baseline versus uplift logic, event assumptions, forecast versioning, bias management, and exception rules.
  • Ensure process design includes explicit integration performance requirements, including timing and latency, cut-off times, error handling, and reconciliation steps.
  • Support the Functional Leader in evaluating functional-area readiness for programme delivery, identifying gaps and proposing solutions.
  • Support the business change team in understanding people implications and defining and delivering interventions to enable adoption.
  • Create process documentation and partner with the Training and Adoption team to develop training and upskilling for colleagues to support adoption and benefit realisation.
  • Define readiness criteria for a dual-landscape transition, including minimum S/4 and IBP master data readiness, interface readiness, and planning calendar alignment before cutover.
  • Partner with the SAP IBP APS programme to ensure training and adoption materials explain how IBP is used and how planning actions in IBP translate into execution in S/4, including checks and reconciliation users must perform.
  • Support definition and execution of end-user readiness activities targeting integration points, including reconciliation checks, interface monitoring, exception management, and cut-off adherence.
  • Ensure process documentation and standard work explain how to respond to interface failures, master data mismatches, and version conflicts to protect continuity and enable rapid issue resolution.
  • Partner with the Business Continuity Manager to establish and manage interim operating states during change.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to design and implement interim processes that minimise disruption to existing operations.
  • Ensure plans support sustainable transition from interim states to permanent processes.
  • Define interim operating procedures when S/4 and IBP deployments are not synchronised, including phased rollouts by market or category, maintaining continuity of forecast-to-supply signals and decision forums.
  • Establish interim and permanent reconciliation routines between S/4 and IBP, including master data alignment checks, interface validation, and key-figure sanity checks, to maintain trust in the numbers during transition.
  • Set clear entry and exit criteria for decommissioning legacy planning workarounds, such as spreadsheets and local tools, aligned with confirmed IBP stability, interface performance, and user adoption.
  • Foster effective stakeholder relationships to support alignment and collaboration.
  • Adapt communication for different audiences to ensure clarity and engagement with programme objectives.
  • Champion the process vision in programme decision-making and maintain effective feedback loops.
  • Serve as the key process interface between the Plan to Forecast value stream and the SAP IBP APS programme, transparently communicating design decisions, constraints, and impacts in both directions.
  • Align stakeholders on global standards versus local flexibility in SAP IBP configuration and S/4 integration constraints.
  • Facilitate cross-functional resolution of integration-driven issues, including ownership of hierarchies, calendars, and key planning assumptions, to prevent fragmentation and protect a single set of numbers.
  • Represent the end-user perspective in design decisions to ensure SAP-enabled processes are practical, efficient, and avoid unnecessary manual reconciliation burdens.

Haleon's Excedrin launches nostalgic "My Little Headache" digital pet to promote fast-relief painkiller

Haleon, the consumer health group, has launched Excedrin Rapid Relief, an aspirin-free and caffeine-free pain reliever that uses patented Fast Release Technology. The product is promoted through "My Little Headache," a nostalgic digital pet that shows headache discomfort worsening and how fast relief helps. The campaign shows Haleon testing engagement-led marketing for new products. It follows new marketing leadership and an expanded Microsoft AI collaboration. Analysts see the launch as a confidence boost for brand-building and pricing power rather than a major near-term catalyst. Key risks remain: product quality after recent recalls, and high debt alongside continued dividends and buybacks. Five Simply Wall St Community members put Haleon's fair value between £3.03 and £6.26.

Haleon shares at $4.51 after 10.9% three-year return: DCF points to undervaluation

Haleon shares closed at £3.55, after delivering a 10.9% total return over the past three years. A discounted cash flow model suggests the consumer health group is worth substantially more than that. The company generated about £2.48b of free cash flow over the last twelve months. Analysts expect it to stay in the billions through the next decade, with steady growth. The stock trades at 19.3 times earnings. Views differ. The bull case puts the shares 31% undervalued, citing a productivity and AI programme that has already added 140 basis points of gross margin. The bear case calls them 15% overvalued, noting organic revenue growth of 2.6% in the first half of 2026, against an ambition of 4% to 6%.

Greater Richmond Partnership

Anton Paar runs a hemisphere from Hanover County.

Anton Paar runs a hemisphere from Hanover County. October 12, 2026 By: Staff | Greater Richmond Partnership Reinhard Eberl oversees Anton Paar's business across the entire Western Hemisphere from Hanover County, Virginia. In a time of global uncertainty, Eberl provided his take on why Greater Richmond continues to succeed and how it's less about cost-cutting and more about resilience on a recent episode of The Richmond Next video podcast. Founded in 1922, Anton Paar is a high-precision laboratory instrument manufacturer headquartered in Graz, Austria, with about 5,000 employees and 40 sales and service subsidiaries worldwide. Its Hanover County location serves as Anton Paar's U.S. and Americas headquarters, overseeing more than 400 employees in the United States and coordinating a total workforce of approximately 800 employees across the Americas, from Canada to Argentina and Chile. What makes this possible here. Logistics: Most of Anton Paar's instruments ship from manufacturing sites in Austria, Germany and Switzerland. From there, goods reach Greater Richmond in only three business days - an unusually fast turnaround for shipments arriving from Europe. Time zone: Richmond sits within a perfect six-hour window of its Austrian headquarters, two hours behind Brazil and Argentina, and three hours ahead of the U.S. West Coast. This is a true advantage when European and South American clients alike need someone available during their business hours. Connectivity: From Richmond, Anton Paar's team can reach São Paulo, Buenos Aires and Bogotá, usually through one connection, without paying the cost of locating in a major metro area. Where the strategy lines up. Eberl's outlook on the region tracks closely with where Greater Richmond Partnership has been pointing Greater Richmond. "We have made great progress in advanced manufacturing," he said, "and if we look into life science or pharma, we are making huge progress." Anton Paar's precision instruments sit right at the intersection of those two industries. It's the same cluster strategy behind wins like Haleon's $54.2 million investment to modernize and expand its R&D "Center of Excellence" in Richmond and the LEGO Group's $1.04 billion carbon-neutral plant in Chesterfield. A harder year, a different strategy. Geography matters more in a time like this. Eberl doesn't sugarcoat how tough the current environment is. "Times are quite challenging right now," he said, "and it's not just about efficiency anymore, it's also about resilience." Part of that challenge is concrete: with only one U.S. manufacturing site, most of Anton Paar's products are affected by the current tariffs on goods coming from Europe, specifically Austria, Germany and Switzerland. Some of those costs have been passed on to customers. "That initially seemed to be acceptable," Eberl said, "but it has also led to temporarily slowing down the business to some extent." Eberl responds to that pressure in two ways. First is investment: "We invest more locally," he said. Second is speed: propelling new products into the market rapidly and refining internal business processes to stay competitive. In other words, using innovation as a safeguard against uncertainty, not just a growth strategy. In Eberl's view, it's also a vote of confidence in the region, rather than a reason to reconsider it. He pointed to the number of risk-conscious companies that have chosen to invest in the Richmond area as evidence. "People who mitigate against risk have chosen to invest in this market," Eberl said. The talent behind resilience. An adjustment of this size doesn't work without those who can execute it locally. Anton Paar hires chemists, physicists and engineers - not the easiest roles to fill anywhere. Eberl commends Richmond's layered advantages. These include major universities within the Greater Richmond region, such as the University of Richmond and Virginia Commonwealth University, as well as local community colleges with an abundance of apprenticeship and internship pipelines. The region also offers a cost of living below the national average, with an average commute time of just 25 minutes. Eberl's advice to the next company. When asked what he'd tell another international company contemplating a move to Greater Richmond, Eberl didn't seem to hesitate: quality of life, connection to the community, a productive workforce, competitive cost of living and the distinguished universities. In a year surrounded by uncertainty, this is a promising list - the same one that brought Anton Paar to Hanover County, where it now runs operations spanning an entire hemisphere.
