Wall Street Zen's latest rating differs from the broader seven-analyst consensus, which MarketBeat described as Moderate Buy on October 13, 2026. Four analysts rated DaVita Buy and three rated it Hold, while the average 12-month target stood at USD 233.43. DaVita generated USD 3.55 billion of revenue in the second quarter of 2026, 5.20 percent above the prior-year quarter, while net income reached USD 265.40 million. The figures were reported by EarningsStory from the period ended June 30, 2026. Operating cash flow for the first six months of 2026 reached USD 811.00 million, compared with USD 504.00 million in the same period of 2025. DaVita announced on October 19, 2026 that it plans to release third-quarter results after the market close on October 29, 2026, followed by a conference call at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The date and schedule were published in the company's newsroom release by DaVita. MatrixCare speeds up post-acute strategy under new CEO Jonathan Lujan.

MatrixCare speeds up post-acute strategy under new CEO Jonathan Lujan. Post-acute care software company MatrixCare's newly appointed CEO, Jonathan Lujan, sees home health providers increasingly operating in a technology ecosystem rather than a closed environment - making interoperability even more crucial. Lujan wants MatrixCare to support an ecosystem resembling Apple's App Store, where the company can integrate with partners offering specialized solutions rather than trying to develop everything itself. The goal, he said, is to move data more seamlessly across care settings and technology platforms while reducing friction for providers operating on thin margins. "Home health, hospice, skilled nursing facilities, these providers face enormous workforce pressure, reimbursement complexity, regulatory burden and fragmentation across the care continuum," Lujan told Home Health Care News. "Every additional click, every aspect of workflow, every administrative task has a real cost." MatrixCare provides software solutions to over 15,000 providers in the home health, hospice, skilled nursing, senior living and life plan industries. The company announced on Sept. 1 that it had become an independent company and named Lujan its CEO. ResMed (NYSE: RMD), a medical device and digital health company, acquired MatrixCare in 2018 for $750 million. In July, Frazier Healthcare Partners agreed to buy MatrixCare, carving it out as a standalone company. The transaction means that MatrixCare will no longer have to compete internally with a large parent company for attention and investment. The change will allow the company to make faster decisions, invest with greater focus and organize itself around customer priorities, Lujan said. Lujan most recently served as CEO of Sight Growth Partners and previously served as vice president and general manager of Lifeline Vascular Care at DaVita, among other roles. Faster decisions, new initiatives. MatrixCare's new CEO has identified several priorities for the company's next chapter, including aligning product investments more closely with customer needs, improving interoperability and using AI and automation to reduce administrative work. The largest opportunity, Lujan said, is creating a tighter connection among what customers need, what MatrixCare builds and how customers ultimately realize value from its technology. AI has the potential to reduce administrative burden in clinical documentation, revenue cycle support, and other workflows, but MatrixCare is not looking to simply maximize its AI usage. "The question isn't how much AI can we put into MatrixCare," Lujan said. "Really, the question is: Where can the technology eliminate administrative work for our customers?" Lujan contrasted that approach with what he described as AI "vaporware" elsewhere in the technology market - announcements that invoke AI without delivering tools that work or solve meaningful customer problems. "We're going to make sure that what we're developing here actually solves our customers' problems," he said. While aiming to reinvigorate MatrixCare's processes and investments, Lujan has identified the post-acute workforce shortage, regulatory complexity and interoperability. The workforce shortage is the most immediate concern, he said. Post-acute providers need technology that lets a limited pool of clinicians and caregivers focus on the highest-value activities instead of spending valuable time on documentation and administrative work. At the same time, MatrixCare must help providers navigate state and federal regulations, revenue cycle management, government and commercial payers and extensive documentation requirements, Lujan said. While contending with those hurdles, the new CEO is focused on developing the tools that help post-acute care providers, including home health agencies, to help with high-stakes scenarios. "Financial tools and the revenue cycle are critically important across the entire continuum because cash is their lifeblood, and oftentimes many home health agencies are going out of business," Lujan said. DaVita announces new value-based partnership with Humana to expand Care for Patients with chronic kidney disease.

DaVita announces new value-based partnership with Humana to expand Care for Patients with chronic kidney disease. More than 10,000 members will get added support aimed at delaying or preventing dialysis and reducing hospitalizations DENVER, Aug. 25, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - DaVita today announced a new value-based care agreement to deliver comprehensive, coordinated care to Humana Medicare Advantage members with chronic kidney disease (CKD) stages 3B-5. Launched July 1, this partnership builds on the organizations' long-standing collaboration in end stage kidney disease and expands earlier into the disease journey, when intervention can have the greatest impact. As the healthcare system aims for more impactful, value-based, preventive care, DaVita continues to lead in managing complex chronic conditions earlier. Through DaVita Integrated Kidney Care (DaVita IKC), patients receive coordinated, whole-person care that addresses the interconnected nature of cardiovascular, kidney and metabolic health - reducing fragmentation and avoidable hospital admissions. "We are in a therapeutic revolution across kidney care where upstream interventions are helping to reshape patient outcomes," said Dr. Sonia Samagh, national medical director for DaVita IKC. "Through our partnership with Humana, we are deploying advanced care that treats the whole patient, preserves kidney function and serves as a central hub for managing comorbid conditions affecting kidney health." This model builds upon the experience of DaVita's extensive network of 3,000 value-based nephrologist partners. Through continued collaboration and innovation alongside these specialists, DaVita aims to drive deeper patient engagement, impactful clinical outcomes and an unmatched care experience. The partnership will serve more than 10,000 patients. Intervening Earlier in Disease Progression The program focuses on CKD patients beginning at a pivotal point when kidney decline often accelerates but remains underdiagnosed or undertreated. By engaging patients earlier and more consistently, the model is designed to stabilize kidney function and slow disease progression. Closing Gaps in Care for Patients with Complex Conditions Not every patient can avoid kidney failure, despite the best clinical interventions. When that happens, advanced and coordinated care helps patients prepare for the next stage of their health journey through early education, advance care planning and coordinated support. Patients receive guidance on treatment options, including home dialysis and kidney transplantation, and are supported by an interdisciplinary care team that helps address barriers to care such as nutrition, transportation and mental health needs, enabling a smoother transition and better patient experience. "The kidneys are often an early indicator that something else is happening systemically within the body. To truly care for the kidneys, we must uncover and address those underlying health issues," said Dr. Samagh. "When we do this, we can work to preserve kidney function, support reduced hospitalizations and enhance patients' quality of life." About DaVita Inc. DaVita (NYSE: DVA) is a healthcare provider focused on transforming care delivery to improve quality of life for patients globally. As a comprehensive kidney care provider, DaVita has been a leader in clinical quality and innovation for more than 25 years. DaVita cares for patients at every stage and setting along their kidney health journey - from slowing the progression of kidney disease to helping support transplantation. This includes ensuring they are supported at home, in dialysis centers, in the hospital and in skilled nursing facilities. As of June 30, 2026, DaVita served approximately 298,500 patients at 3,266 outpatient dialysis centers, of which 2,671 centers were located in the United States and 595 centers were located in 14 other countries worldwide.
