Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of dedicated framework engineers.
  • Lead feature development, implementation of new API’s and functionality, support for new HW accelerations
  • Innovate on new features that will be adopted within Apple by other teams.
  • Handle challenging inbound executive escalations around product quality, including critical stability and security issues.
  • Understand and work closely with display HW team, higher level framework clients and lower level driver teams
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with framework development and familiar with realtime systems
  • Strong grasp and practical experience with graphics and rendering API’s
  • A background in Graphics rendering, UI compositing frameworks a rendering pipelines a plus
  • Familiar with common video and graphics formats, knowledge of displays and display subsystem
  • Device driver development a plus
  • Experience with general operating system concepts
  • Curiosity about taking on development of processes that promotes scalability through “design for testability”, modularity, development and use of common design patterns
