  • Understand and support The Salvation Army's mission as a church and social services organization.
Responsibilities
  • Ring a bell for The Salvation Army to collect donations and greet customers entering and exiting the location courteously and in a friendly manner.
  • Stand where customers can see you and establish eye contact without blocking the store doorway or getting in customers' way.
  • Keep the kettle attended at all times, remain within arm's distance, and do not move it from its assigned location.
  • Do not handle money donated to the kettle; ask customers to place donations directly into it.
  • Call the Corps Officer or identified supervisor to request a replacement kettle when the kettle becomes full.
  • Perform other duties within the scope of the role as assigned by supervisors.
Desired Qualifications
  • Retail and customer service experience is a plus.
