- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current CPR or Basic Life Support certification, or obtaining it within organizational guidelines.
- Experience with electronic medical record systems.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace.
- Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient care.
- Room patients and document medical histories, vital signs, medications, allergies, and chief complaints in the electronic medical record.
- Perform clinical procedures including phlebotomy, electrocardiograms, vision screenings, Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments-waived laboratory testing, and medication and immunization administration.
- Support Annual Wellness Visits by preparing Health Risk Assessments and updating preventive care records.
- Assist with patient outreach, preventive screening scheduling, and documentation.
- Complete Transitional Care Management outreach to patients within 2 days of hospital discharge.
- Handle front-office functions as needed, including phone calls, scheduling, check-in and check-out, and referral processing.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and support inventory management.
- Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant, National Certified Medical Assistant, or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant certification.
- At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience in a physician practice or outpatient or ambulatory care setting.
- Familiarity with Medicare Advantage plans, HEDIS measures, and Annual Wellness Visit workflows.
