About the job
- A Master of Science in educational technology or a related field is required.
- At least two years of experience providing educational technology support and/or instructional design is required.
- Knowledge of web design, multimedia applications, educational software, and emerging technologies used for teaching and support services is required.
- Strong project management skills are required.
- Knowledge and skills using current Microsoft Office software, the internet, email, setting up and using web pages, and willingness to learn the College's learning management and student information software are required.
- Communication and interpersonal skills for interacting effectively with students, peers, and others to provide an environment conducive to student learning are required.
- Strong analytical skills to determine the feasibility of using new or emerging educational technology for the College of Nursing and to troubleshoot computer problems are required.
- Ability to identify learning needs and develop education programs based on those needs is required.
- Experience with Access or Crystal Reports and SQL queries to understand database use is required.
- Coordinate educational technology services, training, and support for the College.
- Promote the integration of educational technology into the curriculum through workshops and training, and assist with simulated learning.
- Coordinate with the OSF Information Systems Services Department the installation, configuration, maintenance, and repair of hardware and software used by faculty, staff, and students.
- Collaborate with Information Systems Services and other appropriate departments to ensure network security, local area network services, and EPIC accounts.
- Troubleshoot software and hardware problems for students, staff, and faculty.
- Serve as administrator and resource/support for the learning management system, student information system, and other software used at the College.
- Monitor the College's compliance with software licensure.
- Coordinate and maintain the College website in conjunction with College Administration and other support and academic staff members.
- Facilitate and manage technology projects as assigned by the President.
