Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • An active and current Florida 2-15 insurance license is required.
  • At least 8 years of experience working in the health insurance industry is required; agency experience is preferred.
  • Experience with self-funded accounts is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Word, is required.
  • Strong time management, client relations, communication, presentation, service orientation, cooperation, and tactfulness are required to resolve client and company problems.
  • A bachelor's degree or higher is preferred but not required.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish ability is preferred but not required.
  • An HIA or CEBS designation is preferred but not required.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
Responsibilities
  • Manage strategic planning, renewals and marketing, compliance, open enrollment, implementation, and employee communication efforts for assigned clients.
  • Collaborate with the Producer and/or Account Executive to monitor and support new business and renewal processes, prepare marketing information, and provide required information to marketing team members.
  • Build and maintain client and carrier relationships by phone, email, and in person.
  • Analyze coverage needs and assist with recommendations to present to clients.
  • Mentor, guide, and serve as a resource for team members on highly complex accounts.
  • Support the Account Executive by pulling financial and claims reports and analysis, including monthly claims and high-cost claimant analysis, and communicate results and implications to clients.
  • Develop and deliver contribution modeling and budget scenarios to support client decision-making.
  • Lead, document, and complete renewal implementation calls and paperwork with clients, while holding carriers accountable for accuracy, timelines, and service expectations.
  • Independently produce accurate and timely materials and audit work products to minimize errors.
  • Maintain client information in the agency management system.
  • Use agency resources and carrier partners to advocate for clients, solve problems, provide client support, and support retention efforts.
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable coverages, carrier guidelines, underwriting, and legislative changes to support client and carrier relationships.
  • Assist clients and teammates with administration, billing, claims, and problem-solving questions.
  • Project-manage Employee Navigator or PlanSource plan builds for implementation and open enrollment, ensuring accurate plan rules, rates, updates, electronic file feeds, and integrations.
  • Counsel clients on compliance deadlines related to Form 5500 filings, COBRA rate updates, ACA reporting, annual wrap documents and notices, Medicare Part D creditable coverage notices, and CMS disclosure emails.
  • Keep current on new products available to clients and legislative changes.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested by management.
