Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.

Responsibilities
  • Perform specialized and complex experiments and studies.
  • Participate in the publication of significant research results.
  • Advance expertise through education, training, and research.
  • Write extramural grants and proposals to gain support when appropriate.
  • Collect, prepare, analyze, dissect, and evaluate specimens and tissue cultures.
  • Weigh and anesthetize laboratory animals for experiments.
  • Operate sensitive and highly complex laboratory equipment.
  • Perform calculations to complete research test results.
  • Perform photography and dark room processing.
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops.
  • Adhere to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguard University assets.
  • Analyze bulk, single-cell, and spatial multi-omics datasets from patient tumors and disease models.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, bioinformaticians, and cancer biologists to identify gene regulatory networks and investigate mechanisms of tumorigenesis, treatment resistance, and metastasis.
  • Analyze high-throughput sequencing datasets, including RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq, scRNA-seq, scATAC-seq, Hi-C, and spatial transcriptomics.
  • Apply statistical modeling and machine learning.
  • Develop computational workflows using R, Python, and GitHub.
  • Contribute to data visualization, data interpretation, and manuscript preparation.
  • Assist with wet-lab techniques including library preparation, histology, PCR, flow cytometry, and media preparation.
  • Document workflows and results according to institutional and scientific standards.
  • Adapt to evolving project priorities, workflow improvements, and emerging analytical needs.
