Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Three to five years of relevant professional sales experience.
  • Experience selling products and services to strategic accounts and/or in business-to-business sales.
  • Experience with customer relationship management technology.
Responsibilities
  • Drive Pro sales for an assigned and prospect portfolio of customers by conducting market research, cold calling, following through on lead generation, and meeting clients or customers at their places of business, jobsites, and tradeshows.
  • Schedule regular worksite visits to determine whether additional products are needed, take orders, and work with stores to fulfill orders.
  • Negotiate pricing and contract terms during customer meetings to close sales.
  • Conduct district research on Pro customer opportunities and identify the highest-opportunity customers to pursue.
  • Compile relevant information for assigned accounts and create effective account strategies.
  • Work cross-functionally with District Managers and Store Managers to provide the services and products needed to increase Pro sales for assigned customers.
  • Meet with senior purchasing decision-makers to conduct supplier annual reviews, coordinate and lead quarterly and annual planning and production meetings, hold vendor-specific tradeshows, and participate in board of director vendor approval meetings.
  • Conduct 12 to 15 sales calls each week to review products, production schedules, planning schedules, delivery timing, and new product introductions, scheduling calls one to two weeks in advance.
  • Apply a consultative selling strategy to understand customer needs and use a proactive selling approach when scheduling ongoing follow-ups with sales opportunities.
  • Build working relationships with District Managers, Store Managers, and Regional Vice Presidents.
  • Use relevant selling tools, selling programs, and fulfillment channels to provide effective solutions for Pro customers.
  • Update the District Manager weekly regarding sales and customer opportunities, wins, sales performance, and yearly planned sales.
  • Influence District Managers and Store Managers regarding services and in-stock needs to support specific customer requirements.
  • Work cross-functionally with district- and region-based merchandising team members to ensure appropriate products for managed accounts.
  • Communicate with the Regional Pro Sales Director and Divisional Sales Director.
  • Research and analyze the market to assess competitive services, Pro programs, and price ranges and use trends to better serve customers.
  • Integrate with customers' accounting and business operations practices to support and integrate processes between Lowe's and customers' purchasing and accounting systems.

The Trump administration is refunding approximately $166 billion in tariff revenue after the Supreme Court struck down its sweeping tariff policy, having returned $100 billion so far. Despite studies showing consumers bore the brunt of initial tariff costs through higher prices, most companies are reinvesting the refunds rather than passing savings to shoppers. Retail executives indicated in earnings calls they plan to put the money back into their businesses. Consumers have filed class-action lawsuits against companies receiving refunds, but none have concluded. Americans have limited recourse to recover funds if companies don't voluntarily lower prices.

Lowe's CEO warns of cautious consumer spending amid macro and geopolitical uncertainty

Lowe's stock trades 27% below peak as DIY demand weakens despite strong cash flow
