About the job
- Passion for working with toddlers and young children.
- Ability to work with little supervision.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Reliable transportation.
- Certified in CPR and First Aid, or willing to obtain certification.
- Some soccer experience, such as playing youth or club soccer, or coaching at a camp.
- Prior experience working with children is ideal, including as a sports coach, trainer, teacher, camper, church leader, or youth leader.
- Deliver the curriculum to small groups of children in a non-competitive, educational environment.
- Teach energetic and motivating classes, connecting with and challenging each child to develop their skills.
- Create a fun and safe learning environment for all children in the program.
- Use positive reinforcement and specific labeled praise to encourage children and celebrate success.
- Act as a positive role model by demonstrating good sportsmanship and a positive attitude.
- Manage a group of up to 10 children aged 2 to 8 years old.
- Communicate regularly with parents about lesson plans and progress.
- Maintain and organize equipment, ensuring necessary tools are available for classes.
- Communicate programming issues clearly to the home office.
- Arrive on time for every class.
- Enjoy working with children.
- Interest in pursuing early childhood education, child development, or sports management.
