  • High school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a Sourcing environment (7-10 years preferred)
  • Minimum three years of experience in a sourcing position, including negotiation involvement
Responsibilities

  • Have an up to date knowledge of the company’s production or project schedules and lead time requirements.
  • Coordinate purchasing of goods and/or services within company policy and procedures and authorized expenditure.
  • Verify vendor pricing and if necessary, obtain comparative quotes.
  • Ensure efficient communication of orders to suppliers and have measures in place to monitor the supplier’s delivery performance.
  • Expedite purchases to ensure supplier’s delivery performance.
  • Participate and lead formal Request for Quote (RFQ) process for goods and/or services.
  • Maintain supplier records and files within the relevant company systems.
  • Support monthly reporting requirements relating to procurement activities and KPI’s.
  • Respond to any queries raised with regards to the suppliers and/or the procurement process.
  • Assist in keeping the workplace a clean and safe environment through the implementation and ongoing 5S and Safety program.
  • Actively participate and contribute to existing and new continuous improvement activities.
  • Any other work related duties as required by the departmental manager.
