Data & AI Manager

Job Description

As a Data & AI Manager, you will lead data engineering, data science, and AI-driven transformation projects, providing strategic direction to clients while driving technical excellence. You will play a key role in designing scalable data architectures, data governance frameworks, and AI-powered solutions, ensuring best practices in data management.

You will be part of a global network of 250+ data professionals across our Centres of Excellence in Paris, Montréal, Brussels, New York, London, Hong Kong, and the Middle East, solving complex data challenges and developing cutting-edge solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Client Delivery & Technical Execution

• Lead Data Engineering initiatives, including data pipeline development, ETL processing, and large-scale data transformation projects.
• Develop and implement data governance frameworks, ensuring data quality, metadata management, master data management (MDM), and compliance.
• Oversee data architecture, modelling, and cloud-based data storage solutions across Azure, AWS, GCP, and Oracle.
• Design and deploy AI/ML-driven analytics solutions, with a focus on data science methodologies, predictive analytics, and automation.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data workflows and AI model deployment to ensure efficiency and automation.
• Implement reporting and analytics solutions using Power BI, Tableau, QuickSight, or Oracle Analytics Cloud.
• Leverage PowerApps (preferred) to automate workflows and improve business processes.

Business Development & Leadership

• Identify business opportunities for Data & AI consulting services, contributing to proposals, RFPs, and client presentations.
• Engage with stakeholders to define AI-driven business solutions that drive value and efficiency.
• Provide thought leadership on emerging AI and data technologies, shaping Sia’s Data & AI offerings.

Technical Expertise & Innovation

We seek hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Data Engineering & Transformation:
  • SQL, Python for data processing and modelling.
  • Azure Data Factory (ADF), FiveTran, Matillion, Oracle Data Integration, AWS Glue, AWS Data Pipeline.
• Cloud Platforms & Storage:
  • Expertise in Azure (preferred), AWS, Oracle, or GCP.
  • Azure services: Synapse, Data Lake, Databricks, Fabric.
• AI & Machine Learning:
  • Experience with data science techniques, predictive modelling, and ML frameworks.
  • Hands-on exposure to Azure ML, TensorFlow, PyTorch, AWS SageMaker.
• Analytics & Business Intelligence:
  • Strong proficiency in Power BI (preferred), Tableau, QuickSight, Oracle Analytics Cloud.
• DevOps & Automation:
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation (Azure DevOps preferred).
• Low-Code Solutions:
  • Experience with PowerApps (preferred) to enhance workflow automation and reporting.

Leadership & Team Development

• Manage and mentor data engineers, data scientists, and consultants, fostering skill development.
• Lead client engagements, ensuring high-quality delivery and strategic impact.
• Promote a collaborative, innovative, and results-driven team culture.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should have:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Science, AI, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Science, and AI, with a focus on cloud-based data solutions.
• Experience in consulting (Big 4, boutique consulting, or leading tech firms preferred).
• Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills to drive projects and influence decision-making.
• Ability to translate complex data challenges into strategic business solutions.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• An entrepreneurial mindset, passionate about leveraging data for business transformation.
