About the job
- Completion of elementary education, or otherwise demonstrated ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions in English.
- Ability to communicate with residents, families, personnel, and support agencies, and to remain calm under stress.
- Ability to bend, lift, walk, grasp, and perform fine hand coordination; ability to distinguish smells, tastes, and temperatures; and ability to hear and respond to pages.
- Clean, wash, polish, sanitize, deodorize, and disinfect all areas and items in the facility using proper cleaning and disinfecting solutions and procedures.
- Maintain work areas in a clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive manner, and clearly mark them with caution or safety signs as required.
- Keep work areas free of hazardous objects and ensure equipment, tools, chemicals, and supplies are properly stored and secured at all times.
- Follow work and cleaning schedules.
- Clean and store equipment, work carts, and supply carts properly.
