Requirements
  • 2 to 7 years of experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer or in a similar corporate role, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with security technologies including security information and event management, firewalls, data loss prevention, network access control, SAC, DAC, web filtering, virtual private networks, security operations centers, and vulnerability management tools.
  • Understanding of international security frameworks and standards, including ISO 27001 and TISAX.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and communicate complex security concepts to non-technical audiences.
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate existing and planned security solutions for effectiveness, manageability, and regulatory compliance.
  • Translate global headquarters standards, policies, and cybersecurity systems into optimized regional information technology guidelines.
  • Coordinate and support headquarters-led security audits across the Americas to assess and strengthen the region's security posture.
  • Advise stakeholders on new initiatives and existing environments to ensure alignment with local regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with security operations teams during cybersecurity incidents to minimize business impact.
  • Conduct comprehensive security architecture reviews to identify gaps and develop risk-management plans.
  • Lead enterprise-wide qualitative and quantitative risk assessments to prioritize threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Partner with business and information technology leaders to identify and prioritize critical functions and align mitigation strategies with organizational objectives.
  • Maintain and update the security risk register, track remediation efforts, and drive closure of outstanding risk items.
  • Assess regional cybersecurity maturity and implement continuous-improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Site Reliability Engineering and information technology infrastructure teams to maximize service availability and resilience.
  • Define and advocate regional cybersecurity key performance indicators based on global metrics and local priorities.
  • Support implementation of cybersecurity solutions for new business entities.
  • Optimize service delivery and collaboration with Hyundai AutoEver and other key information technology partners.
Desired Qualifications
  • A track record of driving security projects to completion, including planning, execution, and post-implementation review.
  • Prior experience serving as a regional or global liaison for cybersecurity initiatives.
  • A master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or a related discipline.
  • An industry certification such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Certified Information Security Manager, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, or TISAX Assessor.

UK's Envisics closes Series C at $105M to accelerate AR holographic heads-up display tech

Milton Keynes-based Envisics announced it closed its Series C funding round at $100M (approximately €93M). The dynamic holographic technology company previously secured $50M in March, led by Hyundai Mobis, with participation from InMotion Ventures and Stellantis Ventures. M&G Investments led the latest tranche, with existing investor Van Tuyl Companies participating. The funds will accelerate product development and international expansion. Envisics develops holographic technologies for augmented reality heads-up displays (AR-HUDs) in vehicles. The technology projects information onto windscreens whilst adapting to ambient light changes and consuming 50 per cent less power than conventional systems. The company's investor roster now includes Tarsadia Investments, GM Ventures, Hyundai Mobis, InMotion Ventures, Stellantis Ventures, SAIC Motors, Van Tuyl Companies, and M&G Investment.
