Requirements
  • B.A. or B.S. required.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with active bar membership in at least one U.S. state.
  • 3-6 years as a licensed attorney, focusing on technology transactions, especially SaaS or similar services (IaaS, PaaS).
  • Proven ability to negotiate and close contracts collaboratively.
  • Familiarity with legal tech solutions and willingness to learn new technologies like AI-assisted review CLM systems and ChatGPT.
  • Ability to work independently, following and enhancing company legal playbooks.
  • (Preferred) Experience with revenue recognition rules, service level agreements, third-party audits, and information security in contracts.
  • (Preferred) Familiarity with contracting in EMEA and APAC.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the negotiation and review of a broad spectrum of contracts and legal documents, including procurement agreements, service agreements, and SaaS agreements for the LogicMonitor platform, LM Envision.
  • Support the LogicMonitor Procurement Team by collaborating with updating inbound agreement workflows.
  • Support the LogicMonitor Sales Team by acting as a trusted advisor for commercial transactions, and provide guidance on the relevant legal issues.
  • Conduct negotiations with vendors and customers, ensuring clear communication and effective deal-making while maintaining compliance with our applicable legal guidelines and templates.
  • Advise internal stakeholders, including Information Security and Deal Desk Teams.
  • Optimize and streamline Legal’s procurement process by implementing new procedures.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop the procurement contracting playbook ensuring FedRamp and ESG compliance.
  • Create and maintain the procurement agreements playbook; train procurement issues relating to agreements.
  • Assist senior legal counsel with internal investigations, auditing, or event management as required.
  • Assist with implementing legal policies and procedures.
  • Partner with Sales, Sales Operations, Finance, InfoSec, Product, Professional Services and other functions to ensure efficient and effective legal support while building strong relationships across all levels.
  • Support department growth by evolving the commercial legal function, centralizing knowledge, and creating scalable processes to improve visibility and expedite communication.
  • Provide support on variety of other matters as requested by senior legal staff.
