Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant discipline and at least 3 years of directly related experience demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy security clearance.
  • Must be a United States citizen.
  • Must reside in the Albuquerque area because some on-site work is required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-native architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with OpenShift and Kubernetes automation.
  • Proficiency in Bash or Python scripting.
  • Linux system administration experience.
  • Docker container management experience.
  • Experience maintaining continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or comparable platforms.
  • YAML development experience.
  • Source code management experience with Git or another comparable tool.
  • Experience with Agile, Kanban, or another software development management process.
  • Experience with database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, or Oracle.
  • Experience using chat-based communication platforms such as Slack, Mattermost, or Microsoft Teams.
Responsibilities
  • Implement and patch Azure-hosted web services based on architecture diagrams, cybersecurity reviews, and approved deployment patterns.
  • Manage OpenShift services, deployments, routes, secrets and configuration, and Helm-based application releases.
  • Perform operational maintenance activities including service restarts, certificate updates, vulnerability remediation, patch validation, environment configuration changes, and production and non-production troubleshooting.
  • Build and maintain automation for deployments, infrastructure provisioning, and operational processes.
  • Create and optimize continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines for Azure and OpenShift environments.
  • Develop infrastructure-as-code templates and reusable automation patterns.
  • Automate container build and deployment workflows.
  • Troubleshoot automation and platform issues and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Document standards and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code, configuration management, or deployment automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Helm, or equivalent.
  • Experience with container security tooling.
  • Understanding of GitOps workflows.
  • Background in hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
  • Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, Red Hat Certified System Administrator, or HashiCorp Terraform Associate certification, or equivalent demonstrated experience.

Edgewater wins IT managed services contract with Argonne National Laboratory.

Edgewater wins IT managed services contract with Argonne National Laboratory. Edgewater Federal Solutions has won a 5-year contract to be the IT managed service provider for Argonne National Laboratory. Argonne is operated by UChicago Argonne, LLC, for the Energy Department. The 1,500-acre campus employs over 4,500 people, including approximately 1,600 scientists and engineers. Under the contract, Edgewater will deliver comprehensive managed IT services to support Argonne's critical research mission across energy, environment, national security and STEM disciplines, the company said. "We are honored to partner with Argonne National Laboratory in support of its vital research mission," said Rodger Jones, Energy+ president of Edgewater Federal Solutions. "This award expands our footprint across the DOE's national laboratory complex. Our growing presence in this space underscores our commitment to delivering secure, reliable, and mission-focused IT services that enable scientific discovery at the highest level." Edgewater's services include service desk operations, on-site and remote end-user support, integrated IT and audio-visual services, and management of Argonne's ITSM platform to provide a scalable, flexible and resilient hybrid support model.
