Hypercubic builds an AI-native platform to maintain and modernize mainframe systems. It helps large organizations manage aging, critical software by capturing and preserving expert knowledge and workflows in a digital form. The core tools are HyperTwin, which collects tacit knowledge and real-time procedures from experts, and HyperDocs, which creates continuously updated documentation for complex systems. The platform creates a digital twin of operations so users can get instant, cited answers to questions, speeding onboarding and reducing risk when experts leave. It integrates with existing enterprise tools like Slack, Confluence, Jira, and GitHub to fit into current workflows. The goal is to protect institutional knowledge of legacy systems and improve efficiency and reliability across IT operations.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Mainframe operators need knowledge preservation as veteran experts retire.[2][5]
  • Workflow integration with Slack, Confluence, Jira, and GitHub eases adoption.[5]
  • Traceable answers and verified transformation fit regulated enterprise environments.[5]

What critics are saying

  • IBM, Accenture, and DXC control incumbent modernization budgets and trusted access.
  • Security reviews at banks, insurers, and governments can delay procurement.
  • Bad documentation or transformation output can trigger a high-profile production incident.

What makes Hypercubic unique

  • Hypercubic targets mainframe modernization with AI-native maintenance tooling.[1][3]
  • HyperDocs turns COBOL assets into searchable, living documentation.[5]
  • HyperTwin captures subject-matter expertise and workflows through guided interviews.[5]
