Job Description

The community of Eskasoni is seeking a family physician to join their primary care team. The successful physician will join two other physicians practicing in the community. A variety of practice types are available and include collaborative practices as well as independent practice opportunities. This community has a brand-new health centre, new LTC and always looking for ways to expand health services.

Qualifications

• Eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
• Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
• Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
• Knowledge of Mi’kmaw culture and history is considered a strong asse

Eskasoni First Nation is the largest Mi’kmaw community in Nova Scotia where community members are well versed in their culture and language.
