M&G is a savings and investments company that manages money for individuals and institutions. It offers a range of investment products, including mutual funds, where many investors pool their money to buy a fixed mix of assets chosen by the fund manager. The funds are then managed to try to grow wealth and provide long-term returns, with investors’ money divided into shares or units based on the fund’s rules. M&G differentiates itself through its long history as an asset manager, its status as an independently listed company after the demerger from Prudential, and its focus on serving the UK and European markets with a broad lineup of funds and investment strategies. Its goal is to help people save and invest for the long term by providing access to professionally managed portfolios and investment options that suit different risk tolerances and goals.

M&G has launched a private credit long-term asset fund (LTAF) with £74m of initial commitments. The fund targets UK defined contribution (DC) pension schemes seeking more private markets exposure following the Mansion House Accord. It will channel capital into businesses and projects across the UK and Europe, covering corporate lending and the financing of infrastructure, real estate and other assets. The initial sum includes capital from M&G's £138bn with-profits fund. "Our first LTAF brings to DC pension schemes a private credit capability that M&G has delivered to defined benefit pension schemes and other institutional investors for more than 25 years," said Neil Godfrey, global head of client group at M&G Investments. The fund sits within M&G's £28bn private and structured credit platform, part of its £83bn private markets business.

M&G Investments has launched the M&G (Lux) Fixed Maturity Bond Fund IG 2031, a five-year actively managed fixed-maturity bond fund designed to offer access to euro-denominated income. The strategy will invest at least 60% of its portfolio in investment grade government and corporate debt securities to maintain an average BBB rating, whilst the remaining 40% will be allocated to high-yield bonds. The fund will selectively use credit default swaps to enhance the portfolio's return profile. The fund will be actively managed with a "buy and watch" approach by M&G's co-head of Macro Credit Stefan Isaacs, alongside Matthew Russell, Carlo Putti, and Anjulie Rusius.
