Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Progress toward CPA or an equivalent credential is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of accounting or financial reporting experience.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, payroll, and tax regulations.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with accounting software and spreadsheets.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, sit, reach, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, and push/pull/lift items weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • This role requires the ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity, auditory focus, and visual attention.
Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the accurate and timely production of internal and external monthly financial statements, year-end audits, and annual budgets.
  • Help ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, employee expense reports, cash control, and payroll processing.
  • Assist with payroll tax compliance.
  • Support the timely handling of all accounts receivable aging components, including billings and cash receipts application.
  • Ensure accurate and timely assistance in preparing company income tax returns.
  • Help establish and maintain processes and systems that safeguard the integrity of accounting information, processes, and company value.
  • Provide timely and accurate support for ad hoc financial needs and requests.
  • Assist in various special projects and compile reports as needed.
  • Communicate courteously and professionally with co-workers, management, clients, and others.
  • Train operations managers on accounting related systems processes as necessary.
  • Adhere to all company regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
