EMC supports arts and athletics with two major spring sponsorships.

EMC supports arts and athletics with two major spring sponsorships. DES MOINES, Iowa (June 8, 2026) - EMC Insurance supported two major community events during the final week of May, bringing thousands of people together across central Iowa. EMC DAM to DSM This was the eighth year EMC served as the title sponsor of the EMC DAM to DSM half marathon, which was held Saturday, May 30, and led athletes from Saylorville Dam to Downtown Des Moines. The course highlights Iowa's rural beauty and EMC's headquarters city -bringing individuals of all ages and backgrounds together to participate (including more than 30 runners from EMC). EMC's Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer Todd Strother distributed medals to top finishers. This was the second-largest race in DAM to DSM's 47-year history, and the largest ever during EMC's tenure as title sponsor. More than 100 EMC team members volunteered in shifts to assemble the 5,000 athlete boxes, and EMC volunteers handed them out during the outdoor expo at Cowles Commons May 28-29. "The success of DAM to DSM is a direct reflection of the time and energy our EMC volunteers invest," said Matt Harris, Community Involvement Manager. "From start to finish, their support plays a critical role in executing an event of this size and complexity. We're grateful for our partnership with RipRoar Events to deliver this experience to the community each year." Iowa High School Musical Theater Awards, presented by EMC On Thursday, May 28, EMC team members volunteered behind the scenes to help prepare the Des Moines Civic Center for the Iowa High School Musical Theater Awards (IHSMTAs).
