Requirements
  • 8+ years of working experience in a consulting, operations, finance, technical program management, product management, or business operations roles. Experience working with engineers in a software development organization strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication skills across a wide dynamic range, both written and verbal. Experience interfacing with company leadership and executives is a must, with a demonstrated ability to cultivate trust and facilitate meetings for and engage with executives. Demonstrated ability to translate and articulate thoughts clearly and simply across a wide range of roles (software engineers, finance partners, recruiters, cross functional leadership, and executives).
  • Strong emotional intelligence and ability to solve operational problems not only from a data driven lens, but also in a people-centric way by building strong cross functional relationships across the company and within the software engineering organization.
  • High ownership with the horsepower to effectively manage multiple (3-5+) large projects and priorities in parallel, at a rapid pace, and report out on progress regularly.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities.
Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Head of Software Platform and their leadership team to drive and execute strategy for organizational development that will scale and meet software engineering needs across Anduril divisions.
  • Define the org vision, org operating model, and annual goals.
  • Determine investments for software engineering capabilities and product development.
  • Set and track metrics for organizational health and performance on product development deliverables.
  • Execute on strategic initiatives and take on special projects for the organization.
  • Engage with Anduril executive leadership as a representative for Software Platform to report risks and developments within the organization, and to prepare content and present at regular business reviews.
  • Drive day-to-day operations and develop internal processes/frameworks for efficient operations across the Software Platform organization.
  • Drive quarterly and annual planning for Software Platform as part of the org and company planning cycles.
  • Manage the Software Platform finances in partnership with a FP&A partner to track financial health of budget against goals and deliverables.
  • Run the Software Platform’s hiring and staffing infrastructure and processes.
  • Manage organizational communications internal to the team and external across the company, such as sending monthly update emails across the company and preparing team wide All Hands.
  • Lead a small (2-3) Software Platform Operations team to support day to day org tactical operations and strategic initiatives within Software Platform, and as the central hub (“homeroom”) for software at Anduril.

  • Solid technical aptitude and proven ability to understand technical designs, software development lifecycle, challenges and risks; ability to work closely and effectively with software engineering teams.
  • Experience working at a technology and/or high growth company.
  • Experience working effectively in a matrix organization structure.
