About the job

Requirements
  • At least 6–8 years in a high-growth environment, ideally B2B software, having owned a content, growth, or demand generation function rather than merely contributing to one.
  • Use Claude or a similar large language model as a default and be familiar with Claude, Cowork, skills, and plugins.
  • Have a proven track record running demand-generation and/or content programs that generate pipeline, not just traffic.
  • Have a strong sense of design and know what good design looks like.
  • Be organized and autonomous, managing multiple workstreams without dropping them.
  • Have sufficient technical understanding of marketing and automation tools, data and analytics, and the product to participate effectively in technical conversations with engineering.
  • Have excellent English and write sharp, clear, persuasive copy across formats.
Responsibilities
  • Own and run integrated campaigns for key moments, including product launches, category events, and funding announcements.
  • Own and run the GTM10 Awards flagship program end-to-end and leverage community opportunities.
  • Build and optimize the demand-generation funnel across paid, owned, and earned channels, and own the metrics that show what drives pipeline.
  • Scale the micro-influencer program with go-to-market practitioners, venture capital firms, and software operators as distribution partners, and track the pipeline and word-of-mouth it drives.
  • Build and automate the growth engine, including workflows, integrations, and AI agents connecting HubSpot, product data, and channels, so repeatable work runs automatically.
  • Set up tracking and reporting so the team can assess performance from first touch through closed-won.
  • Use Claude, Cowork, skills, and other suitable tools to replace manual tasks, and document what is built so the team can use it.
  • Own product marketing, including positioning and launch plans for new features, the customer newsletter, and website updates.
  • Create sales enablement materials, including battlecards, one-pagers, and customer stories used by sales.
  • Work closely with the CEO and Chief of Staff, alongside content/SEO and partnerships colleagues, freelance design support, and the sales team.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with search engine optimization or generative engine optimization.
  • Experience with content management systems such as Framer or Webflow.
  • Experience in a product-led growth or referral/word-of-mouth context.

  • The 2026 GTM10 program drew 602 nominations from 28 countries, expanding brand reach.
  • Customer proof from Miro, Typeform, and VEED strengthens enterprise credibility and sales velocity.

What critics are saying

  • If SaaS budgets tighten again in 2026-2027, referral software becomes a discretionary spend bucket.

What makes Cello unique

  • Cello embeds user and partner referrals natively inside SaaS products, not separate portals.
  • Cello automates server-side attribution, payouts, and compliance across Stripe, PayPal, and Venmo.
  • Cello’s GTM10 Awards with Lightspeed gave it 2026 distribution leverage and category authority.

Munich-Based Saas Referrals Platform Cello Has Raised €3.1 Million

German firm Cello has raised a €3.1 million in, what it is calling, a preempted Seed round led by HV Capital and includes angel investment from Alison Pickens (dbt), Phil Chambers (Workday), Julius Göllner (ARRtist) and Patrick Andrae (HomeToGo).The platform is a referral vehicle for SaaS products giving SaaS businesses the ability to rapidly grow word-of-mouth into a valuable acquisition channel. The company raised a €2.3 million pre-seed round last year. The fresh funds will fuel the growth of its engineering organisation and see it expand further in Europe and the US.“With the twin trends of product-led growth (PLG) and community, B2B companies are turning to near-$0 CAC channels to drive efficient growth. With Cello, businesses can add a new ROI-positive, scalable channel in hours to improve their payback period, LTV:CAC, and capital efficiency," says Stefan Bader, co-founder, and CEO at Cello.Cello counts Personio, Superside, sevDesk, and tl;dv amongst its customers.“Cello’s solution is well-timed with the current market trends. The team continues to make quick progress, especially considering the global market conditions where building rapidly growing SaaS is challenging. This is one of the many reasons we believe that Cello is well-positioned to reinvent how companies sell and market products," says David Stefan Fischer, Principal at HV Capital
