About the Company

Mary Washington Healthcare

Not-for-profit regional healthcare system serving Fredericksburg

Mary Washington Healthcare is a regional, not-for-profit health system serving Fredericksburg, Virginia, and surrounding areas. It operates two hospitals and 28 healthcare facilities and wellness services, offering inpatient and outpatient care across a network of clinics and programs. How it works: the system provides medical services through its hospitals, clinics, and wellness programs, guided by a Board of Trustees made up of community volunteers who help shape strategy and growth. Patients access care via the facilities in the network, with a focus on quality, coordination, and community health. How it differs from competitors: it is community-governed and not driven by profits, with a broad regional footprint of hospitals and services, emphasizing local needs and accessible care rather than shareholder value. Goal: to deliver excellent, accessible health care for the region while growing and enhancing services to meet community health needs.
