Java Software Engineer
About the job
- At least 3–5 years of experience writing clean, maintainable code in Java 8 or later.
- Experience with the Spring ecosystem.
- Knowledge of microservices and REST services.
- Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
- Experience writing and executing unit and integration tests.
- Hands-on experience with cloud projects on Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud Platform; Azure is especially important.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies.
- Excellent spoken and written proficiency in Dutch and English.
- Build and optimize backend components for major technology companies in the Netherlands.
- Transform monolithic software into scalable microservices environments and develop new functionality.
- Work on long-term projects for dynamic, fast-growing clients in the Netherlands.
- Be part of an engineering team within the IT department.
- Develop microservices in ecosystems on Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud Platform.
- Deliver new features and functionality essential to clients’ core businesses.
- Take ownership of personal development and professional growth.
