Requirements
  • 2+ years' experience doing quantitative analysis, preferably for a consumer technology or digital media company
  • Strong media literacy - consuming, evaluating, and summarizing coverage
  • Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal direction
  • Proficient in SQL
  • Foundational understanding of statistical analysis
  • Strong written and oral communication skills. Comfortable working with internal and external stakeholders
  • Data visualization and presentation skills, using tools like Looker or Tableau
  • Knowledge of (or experience with) statistical packages and/or data science modules for analyzing datasets (eg. R, Matlab/Octave, SciPy) a plus
  • Experience with large data sets and distributed computing (Snowflake/Hive/Hadoop/Spark) a plus
  • Experience with automating data workflows using Airflow, python a strong plus
Responsibilities
  • Manipulating and analyzing large data sets from a variety of data sources
  • Providing data-driven key insights and recommendations to inform PR and communications activities, ensuring that work aligns to methodologies and project timelines
  • Presenting findings clearly and providing recommendations or analysis of results to help stakeholders make great business decisions
  • Building automated workflows to generate reports, insights and data derivatives
  • Building and maintaining reports, dashboards, and metrics to visualize insights and recommendations
  • Optimizing queries and data flows on top of Snowflake/Hive/Athena/Vertica
  • Managing the relationship between the Data Cloud team and the Marketing team
  • Owning a portion of the analytics request flow, prioritizing, and responding to requests for insights from internal/external customers
  • Understanding business objectives and providing unique recommendations on reports and insights to internal and external customers/partners
