Cricut StickerPix Print + Cut and StickerPix Print price, specifications and availability announced. Ali Jennings Camera Jabber Author Published: 27th September 2026 Cricut, best known for its crafting cutters, has launched two new machines that bring it into the world of home photo printing. The Cricut StickerPix Print + Cut and Cricut StickerPix Print are designed to turn the photos on your phone into stickers, labels, photo prints and cards. It's a new category for the brand, and it puts Cricut up against the compact photo printers from the likes of Canon, Kodak and Fujifilm that have become popular for printing straight from a phone. Two machines, one process. Both printers use thermal dye-sublimation, which Cricut says produces high-resolution 300dpi prints that are water, scratch and fade resistant thanks to a laminate layer applied during printing. The StickerPix Print + Cut is the more capable of the pair. It prints, laminates and then cuts custom shapes using a built-in fine-point blade, so you can go from a photo to a finished die-cut sticker in a single pass. It can also produce photo prints, photo cards and custom-cut labels. The StickerPix Print uses the same printing technology but skips the cutter, working instead with pre-cut Cricut Sticker Sheets in a range of shapes and sizes. It also handles photo prints and cards. Design Space and AI tools. Both machines connect via Bluetooth to Cricut's Design Space software on mobile and desktop. Users can start with their own photos, edit templates, use AI-powered features or choose from a library of more than 1.8 million sticker images. Cricut notes that the full content library and some software features, including Cricut AI, require a paid Cricut Access subscription. "Cricut StickerPix brings these trends together and makes it incredibly easy to turn what's on your screen into something you can hold, share, and make your own," said Ashish Arora, CEO at Cricut. Its take. For photographers, dye-sub printing is a proven route to durable, continuous-tone small prints, and the ability to cut around a subject is something traditional mini photo printers can't do. The subscription requirement for some features and the reliance on Cricut's own sticker sheets are worth bearing in mind when weighing up running costs. Cricut StickerPix key features. Thermal dye-sublimation printing: at 300dpi Laminated prints: water, scratch and fade resistant StickerPix Print + Cut: print, laminate and precision cut in one machine StickerPix Print: prints and laminates onto pre-cut Cricut Sticker Sheets Bluetooth connection to Design Space: on mobile and desktop Outputs: stickers, labels, photo prints, photo cards Cricut StickerPix price and availability. The Cricut StickerPix Print + Cut Essential Bundle costs £249.99 and the Cricut StickerPix Print Essential Bundle costs £159.99. Both are available from 25 September 2026 through Cricut.com and retailers including Hobbycraft, Currys, Very, Amazon, John Lewis and Argos.

Fujifilm LTO-10 tape launches with 40TB capacity. Tell Your Friends Last Updated on 2 hours ago by ICT BYTE While consumer technology has transitioned almost entirely to high-speed solid-state drives and cloud solutions, magnetic tape remains an undisputed titan in enterprise data storage. Proving that physical tape technology is far from obsolete, Fujifilm has officially made its latest Linear Tape-Open format available to the market: the LTO-10 tape cartridge. Designed specifically to handle the overwhelming volumes of data generated by modern artificial intelligence, media production, and enterprise backups, this new generation delivers staggering density and rock-solid reliability. Priced at approximately $494 per cartridge, the new LTO-10 media provides organization-level backup capabilities that traditional hard drives and flash storage simply cannot match in terms of cost-efficiency for long-term retention. Here is a closer look at what the LTO-10 tape cartridge brings to the table and why magnetic tape continues to play a vital role in global infrastructure. Unpacking the LTO-10 specifications: massive storage density. The headline feature of the LTO-10 format is its raw capacity. A single tape cartridge provides an extraordinary 40TB of native, uncompressed storage space. When utilizing standard 2.5:1 data compression algorithms, that potential capacity expands up to 100TB on a single unit. To put that scale into perspective, one tape can hold millions of high-quality digital audio files, thousands of hours of high-definition video, or vast machine-learning datasets used for AI training. In terms of performance, the LTO-10 tape cartridge is no slouch despite being a sequential access medium. It delivers native data transfer speeds of up to 400MB/s, which can potentially scale up to 1,000MB/s for compressed data workloads. This combination of extreme density and rapid throughput allows enterprise IT departments to execute massive system backups and data migrations in significantly shortened windows. Why magnetic tape retains its crown in modern infrastructure. For those outside the enterprise IT sector, hearing about new tape releases might come as a surprise. However, cloud hyperscalers, financial institutions, government agencies, and research facilities rely heavily on magnetic tape for cold storage tiers. There are several structural reasons why tape continues to outperform alternative technologies in high-capacity environments: * Air-Gapping and Cybersecurity: Cyberattacks and ransomware pose constant threats to corporate networks. Tape cartridges offer an inherent security benefit: once a tape is written and removed from the drive, it is physically air-gapped. Hackers cannot encrypt or erase offline tapes over a network, making them the ultimate defense against catastrophic data loss. * Energy Efficiency: Spinning hard drives and server racks consume vast amounts of electricity and require constant cooling. Tape cartridges resting in a storage library consume zero power, dramatically cutting operational costs and reducing the carbon footprint of large data centers. * Cost per Terabyte: When scaling storage into petabytes or exabytes, the cost per gigabyte of magnetic tape remains significantly lower than that of enterprise-grade hard disk drives or solid-state drives. Built for decades of durability and compliance. Data retention regulations in fields like healthcare, finance, and legal services often require records to be stored securely for decades. Hard drives left unpowered for extended periods risk mechanical failure or magnetic degradation, while SSDs can lose charge over time if disconnected from power. In contrast, advanced tape cartridges are engineered specifically for archival longevity. Fujifilm's LTO-10 cartridges utilize advanced magnetic particle formulations designed to withstand environmental factors over long periods. Under proper storage conditions, these tapes offer an archival shelf life of up to 30 years. This guarantees that critical historical records, scientific research, and compliance records remain intact and readable far into the future. Price, adoption, and total cost of ownership. At an individual price tag near $494, the initial media cost translates to roughly $12.35 per raw terabyte, or just under $5 per terabyte when factoring in compressed capacity. While acquiring the required LTO-10 tape drives and library hardware involves a noticeable upfront capital investment, the total cost of ownership over a multi-year lifecycle makes it an economical strategy for heavy data creators. Organizations managing media archives, surveillance footage, big data analytics, or regulatory backups will find that upgrading to LTO-10 streamlines physical space requirement. By consolidating multiple older tape generations into fewer high-density cartridges, IT teams can free up precious server room real estate while boosting overall data management efficiency. Final thoughts. The release of the LTO-10 tape cartridge demonstrates that tape media is not just surviving in the modern cloud era - it is actively evolving. By offering up to 100TB of compressed capacity, impressive transfer rates, and robust offline protection against cyber threats, Fujifilm's latest release ensures that magnetic tape will remain a cornerstone of enterprise backup and archival strategies for years to come.
