  • A bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 11 years of related experience; or a master's degree in mathematics, statistics, or engineering and 9 years of related experience; or a PhD in a related discipline and 5 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 6 years of experience supporting Enterprise IT enabling business functions.
  • At least 8 years of progressive experience in IT, including at least 6 years in a leadership role focused on digital applications or product management within the life science or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven experience leading product development teams in an agile, product-centric operating model.
  • Strong understanding of the drug discovery, clinical development, or commercialization lifecycle within a pharmaceutical or biotechnology company.
  • Demonstrated success defining and delivering complex digital products that drive significant business value.
  • Experience with a relevant technology or platform, such as SaaS platforms including Veeva or Salesforce, cloud solutions including AWS or Azure, or business-function platforms such as LIMS, SAP ERP, EDC, CTMS, or CRM systems used in pharmaceutical organizations.
  • Experience with regulatory frameworks and compliance in a GxP environment.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities using a data-driven approach to decision-making.

Responsibilities
  • Own the portfolio of digital products and develop and execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for in-scope digital products.
  • Partner with senior product leads and business stakeholders to gather insights, understand user needs, and translate them into product requirements and user stories.
  • Lead market research, competitive analysis, and technology assessments to inform product planning and identify innovation opportunities.
  • Drive prioritization of product initiatives by evaluating business impact, technical feasibility, compliance needs, and resource constraints.
  • Own the architecture and design of the product portfolio and ensure digital solutions are securely built and aligned with enterprise standards.
  • Manage the product lifecycle from ideation through launch and post-launch optimization using Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
  • Ensure user stories, acceptance criteria, and product specifications are well defined and aligned with product vision and business objectives.
  • Lead partnerships with engineering, architecture, and quality assurance teams to support timely delivery of scalable, secure, high-quality digital applications.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to align product roadmaps and delivery operations.
  • Promote user-centric design by incorporating user research, usability testing, and feedback into product enhancements.
  • Support the Principal Product Lead in mentoring digital application team members and encouraging ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Act as a liaison between IT and business functions, translating technical concepts into business language and business needs into technical direction.
  • Build collaborative relationships with stakeholders across multiple functional areas to align product vision, priorities, and outcomes.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination across product, business, and IT teams to support effective decision-making.
  • Own and drive the digital products roadmap in cross-functional discussions and contribute to strategic initiatives.
  • Lead support efforts to maintain the operational stability, performance, and security of digital applications with IT operations and infrastructure teams.
  • Lead vendor relationships and third-party software solutions supporting the digital application portfolio.
  • Lead compliance with regulatory requirements, including GxP, HIPAA, and GDPR, and internal quality and security standards across product releases.
  • Ensure product releases meet defined quality assurance standards across two or more digital products.
  • Contribute to implementing and maintaining data management and artificial intelligence practices that protect sensitive information and ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Track and report key performance indicators to assess product success, adoption, and business impact and support continuous improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with company policies and standards.

The biotech company sells cabozantinib under the brand names Cabometyx and Cometriq. The former - a treatment for kidney, liver and thyroid cancers as well as neuroendocrine tumors - brought in $570.6 million in quarterly sales. Cometriq, which treats a form of thyroid cancer, generated $2.4 million in sales. But analysts called for a healthier $578 million and $3 million in sales, respectively. Biotech's Next Boom? Exelixis' sales disappointment. The sales disappointment led Exelixis to cut its earnings outlook for the year. The company now sees $2.5 billion to $2.55 billion in sales. At the midpoint, that's a drop of $50 million from Exelixis' prior guidance from three months ago. More promisingly, Exelixis topped earnings forecasts, reporting an adjusted 91 cents per share, vs. the Street's forecast for 85 cents, according to FactSet. Earnings grew more than 21% as total sales climbed close to 11%, reaching $627.8 million. That includes sales of Cabometyx and Cometriq, as well as $53.2 million in royalties from partners Ipsen and Takeda Pharmaceutical. But sales lagged projections for $636 million. Investors are now watching closely the next steps for zanzalintinib. The Food and Drug Administration is reviewing the experimental prostate cancer treatment for potential approval in December. Exelixis reports Q2 2026 revenues of $628.7M, up 11% on cabozantinib growth

Exelixis reported second quarter 2026 total revenues of $628.7 million, up from $568.3 million in the same period last year. Net product revenues reached $573.0 million, compared to $520.0 million in 2025, driven primarily by increased sales volume. The company reported GAAP net income of $212.1 million, or $0.82 per diluted share, versus $184.8 million, or $0.65 per diluted share, in the prior year period. Research and development expenses increased to $212.0 million from $200.4 million. Exelixis is preparing for a potential launch of zanzalintinib in metastatic colorectal cancer, pending regulatory approval. The FDA assigned a target action date of 3 December 2026 for the new drug application. The company expects topline results from its phase 3 STELLAR-304 trial in the second half of 2026.

Exelixis posts $611M Q1 revenue, FDA accepts colorectal cancer drug application

Exelixis, an oncology-focused biopharmaceutical company, reported total revenues of $610.8 million for Q1 2026, up from $555.4 million in Q1 2025. US net product revenues from its cabozantinib franchise reached $555 million, whilst collaboration revenues rose to $55.8 million. The company achieved GAAP net income of $210.5 million and non-GAAP net income of $232.8 million. The US FDA accepted Exelixis's first NDA for zanzalintinib combined with atezolizumab for previously treated metastatic colorectal cancer, with a target action date of 3 December.
