Requirements
  • Experience working in a consulting role in financial services.
  • Experience leading delivery of large-scale financial projects, including designing and implementing financial operating models.
  • Experience in financial modelling, budgeting, business planning, forecasting, and analysis.
  • Experience working effectively as a team player and taking on a leadership role.
  • An accounting qualification such as ACA, ACMA, ACCA, or similar.
  • Ability to work to deadlines, prioritize workload, and provide a high level of service.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to translate this into an Excel model.
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing.
  • Expertise using Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to apply research skills to solve new issues and make improvements.
Responsibilities
  • Lead multiple projects or programmes through team management and collaboration with cross-divisional specialists.
  • Execute projects to the required quality standards, review completed projects, identify lessons learned, and improve future quality and planning.
  • Build and cultivate business relationships, identify opportunities, lead negotiations, and provide technical and operational leadership for client-centric solutions.
  • Maintain professional development and accreditation, and develop a portfolio of clients and professional networks through strategic relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Develop and drive business-development opportunities while anticipating company and client or industry needs through research.
  • Manage the scope, preparation, delivery, reporting, and evaluation of larger and higher-risk projects and engagements.
  • Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of engagements to achieve quality, profitability, and deadline objectives.
  • Communicate risks and issues early and suggest solutions.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and products or services, and provide relevant market and client knowledge to senior management.
  • Work with peers as part of the senior management team and participate in decisions such as resource allocation.
  • Ensure employee wellbeing is actively managed or escalated when necessary.
  • Review junior team members’ work, identify development needs, and provide advanced knowledge, coaching, mentoring, and stretch assignments.
  • Complete appraisals, set objectives, and manage underperformance as part of the performance development cycle.
  • Ensure the team accurately charges time to engagement codes to track the value of work and recognize individual and team contributions.
  • Support onboarding of new joiners.
Desired Qualifications
  • A first-level university degree at 2:1 or equivalent or above is desirable but not compulsory.
