humans& is a frontier AI lab that aims to augment human collaboration rather than replace it. The team is developing AI tools and training methods focused on long-horizon reinforcement learning, multi-agent systems, memory, and user context to improve teamwork and conversation. Their approach centers on embedding AI agents within group chats to assist with research, ask clarifying questions, and retain information over time, creating AI-enhanced communication that supports human decision-making rather than a fully autonomous workflow. Unlike many rivals, they emphasize complementary human–machine collaboration, scalable memory, and context-aware reasoning, with substantial compute needs driving their research and development. The goal is to build practical, human-centric AI tools that strengthen how people work together in teams.
