Requirements
- Perform visual and mechanical inspection of manufactured components using micrometers, calipers, thread and pin gauges, surface plates, and height gauges.
- Have a high school diploma and one to five years of related quality-control experience.
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing with colleagues and departmental leadership.
- Push, pull, lift, and carry up to 45 pounds.
- Be familiar with data entry and proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Read and follow documented procedures, standards, and instructions.
Responsibilities
- Perform first article inspection, final and in-process testing, and gage calibration to customer and design requirements.
- Perform data entry, problem solving, and other assigned quality-control activities.
- Develop and enforce good manufacturing practice systems to assure consistent production quality.
- Validate processes through inspection and document findings appropriately.
- Provide accurate and complete documentation, including developing quality instructions.
- Manage workload and pace to accomplish internal productivity goals.
- Create, document, and implement inspection and test plans from engineering drawings to validate parts efficiently.
- Read and communicate blueprints to shop-floor personnel.
- Complete process documentation accurately and completely.
- Participate in training opportunities.
Desired Qualifications
- Evaluate Certificate of Conformance validity for material or special processes.
- Process first article inspections.
- Have experience working in an ISO 9001/AS9100-certified manufacturing environment.
