About the company

Eragon builds an AI-driven operating system for enterprises, enabling teams to manage operations using natural language prompts and unifying tools like Salesforce, Snowflake, and Jira in a single workspace. It uses an agent-based platform that connects to a company’s tools, data, and communications, and trains custom AI models on that data while keeping model weights on the client's own servers for security. Deployed agents can autonomously monitor, act, learn, and escalate tasks across the organization, such as starting a client onboarding and triggering required workflows without manual switching between apps. The goal is to make enterprise software usable through prompts, reducing tool switching and improving coordination across business processes while ensuring data ownership and a security-first approach.

  • Corgi’s CEO called Eragon the best applied AI for enterprise in March 2026.
  • The March 2026 $12 million seed at $100 million valuation funded aggressive enterprise hiring.

What critics are saying

  • Salesforce Agentforce and Microsoft Copilot Studio bundle similar automation into existing contracts.
  • A single agent misfire or data leak destroys trust and stalls deployment cycles.
  • Nvidia-backed enterprise agent platforms commoditize Eragon before its March 2026 seed capital stretches.

What makes Eragon unique

  • Josh Sirota’s Oracle-Salesforce background sells enterprise workflows to skeptical buyers.
  • Eragon keeps customer data inside their cloud, with customer-owned model weights.
  • Prompt-based agents replace Salesforce, Snowflake, and Jira screens with one workspace.

Eragon raises $12M to replace enterprise software interfaces with AI prompts

Eragon, a startup founded by former Oracle and Salesforce executive Josh Sirota, has raised $12 million at a $100 million post-money valuation to build an "agentic AI operating system" for enterprises. The company aims to replace traditional software interfaces with natural language prompts, allowing users to access business tools like Salesforce, Snowflake and Jira through conversational commands. Founded in August, Eragon trains open-source AI models on customer data within their own secure cloud environments, addressing key enterprise concerns about data security. The platform can automate tasks from generating dashboards to managing onboarding workflows through simple prompts. The funding round was backed by Long Journey Ventures and Axiom Partners. Eragon currently serves several large enterprises and dozens of startups whilst competing against AI labs and infrastructure companies like Nvidia.

AI startup Eragon secures funding to potentially revolutionize enterprise software.

AI startup Eragon secures funding to potentially revolutionize enterprise software. Startup Eragon, founded by Josh Sirota in August, has raised $12 million at a $100 million valuation to develop an innovative AI operating system for enterprises. The company envisions a future where traditional software interfaces, like buttons and dialog boxes, are obsolete, replaced by AI-driven prompts that deliver enterprise solutions. * Sirota's Journey and Vision: Previously part of go-to-market teams at Oracle and Salesforce, Sirota's experience helped secure support from investors such as Arielle Zuckerberg at Long Journey Ventures and several strategic angels. * Product and Technology: Eragon aims to integrate multiple enterprise software functionalities - like Salesforce, Snowflake, and Jira - through a single AI interface. Their team, including PhD students from Berkeley and MIT, focuses on refining their tech stack for data integration and security. * Current Implementation: Eragon is already in use in large businesses and startups, with a demonstration shown using Dedalus Labs. The system operates by integrating with company data, ensuring data protection by training models within company servers. * Potential and Skepticism: The concept has attracted attention from industry leaders like Nvidia's Jensen Huang, who suggested a paradigm shift similar to the transition from mainframes to personal computers. Nonetheless, some skepticism remains regarding real-world applicability and potential security concerns. * Future Prospects: Despite potential competitive pressures and known challenges in AI adoption in corporates, Eragon's founders are optimistic about reaching billion-dollar valuations, positioning the company as a leader in AI-driven enterprise solutions.
