Requirements
  • A master's degree in a field appropriate to the needs of the department, significant progress toward a doctorate degree, post-baccalaureate certification or licensure in rare circumstances, or a baccalaureate degree plus experience may qualify the candidate for the teaching position.
  • Specific certification or licensure or clinical experience may be required depending on the program.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and maintain work authorization throughout the employment term.
  • Candidates must submit a cover letter addressing the required qualifications, a curriculum vitae or resume, and contact information for three to five references.
Responsibilities
  • Facilitate classroom, online, and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance.
  • Develop instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction.
  • Serve as an initial point of contact for students regarding specific course or series content and expectations.
  • Prepare for and hold face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online classes.
  • Maintain currency in the content area related to the teaching assignment.
  • Evaluate students' work, assess student outcomes, and provide regular and substantive feedback on student work.
  • Maintain appropriate records and hold office hours.
  • Advise students and/or provide other service to the department as assigned.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the department chair or dean.
