Requirements

  • At least 5 years of software engineering experience.
  • At least 2 headless storefront implementations, preferably including full-cycle implementation of the Salesforce Commerce Cloud Composable Storefront/PWA Kit.
  • Expert knowledge of React, including Hooks, Context API, server-side rendering, and state management.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce Commerce Cloud core concepts; mastery of Salesforce Commerce API and Open Commerce API is essential.
  • Proven experience resolving code-quality platform issues, including security vulnerabilities, code smells, and maintainability debt.
  • Expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, ES6+, and Chakra UI or similar CSS-in-JS libraries.
  • Experience integrating with order management systems, payment gateways via Shopper Login and API Access Service, and third-party services in a decoupled environment.
  • Strong understanding of Core Web Vitals, service workers, and caching strategies within Managed Runtime.
  • Experience delivering scalable user interfaces in fast-paced Agile environments.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant business, liberal arts, STEM, or technology/engineering discipline is required.
  • Experience with third-party tools such as Optimizely and Contentstack.
  • Experience with Mocha for automated testing.
  • Knowledge of traditional Salesforce Commerce Cloud Storefront Reference Architecture to assist with migration and logic extraction.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, JSON, and SCSS.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce Commerce Cloud PWA Kit, Composable Storefront, Salesforce Commerce API, Open Commerce API, Business Manager, and Shopper Login and API Access Service.

  • Knowledge of SonarQube, Git, Jira, Postman, and Salesforce Managed Runtime.
  • Understanding of Storefront Reference Architecture and ISML for migration logic.
  • Recent, hands-on experience implementing PWA Kit is required; candidates must be able to refactor legacy logic into modern React patterns. Apex-only or traditional Storefront Reference Architecture-only profiles are not suitable.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain headless PWA storefront features, including product detail pages, product listing pages, cart, and checkout, using the Retail React App template.
  • Monitor SonarQube reports and implement architectural fixes to clean up the codebase and maintain high quality-gate scores.
  • Implement and extend Salesforce Commerce API and Open Commerce API integrations, including complex data mapping between Salesforce Commerce Cloud and the React frontend.
  • Deploy and manage bundle versions and environment configurations within Salesforce Managed Runtime.
  • Implement secure shopper authentication using Shopper Login and API Access Service.
  • Translate Figma and high-fidelity designs into responsive, accessible, and performant React components.
  • Partner with Product, UX/UI, and Backend teams to support seamless end-to-end user journeys.
  • Use Salesforce Commerce Cloud Log Center, Managed Runtime logs, and browser debugging tools to resolve production issues.
  • Participate in scrums and work with systems integrator partners to deliver business requirements.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to outsourced vendor resources.
  • Maintain the environment to minimize budget overflows.
  • Lead decision-making on data product development and prioritization in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Recommend technology investments and improvements to enhance data product capabilities.
  • Ensure technology solutions align with business needs, usability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; domestic and international travel may be required.
