Chef de Partie

Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and reliable Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team at Ibis London Excel. The successful candidate will work closely with the Food & Beverage team to deliver high-quality food across our hotel restaurant and breakfast service.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present dishes to a consistently high standard.
• Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with hotel recipes, standards and presentation guidelines.
• Maintain excellent food hygiene, health and safety standards at all times.
• Assist with preparation for breakfast, lunch, dinner, functions and special events as required.
• Monitor food quality, freshness and portion control.
• Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining quality and consistency.
• Assist with stock rotation, deliveries and storage of food products.
• Minimise food waste and maintain good stock control.
• Keep equipment and wider kitchen areas clean and organised.
• Support and communicate effectively with other members of the kitchen and front-of-house teams.
• Follow COSHH, HACCP and other relevant food safety procedures.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties required by the management team.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience working as a Chef de Partie or in a similar professional kitchen environment.
• Good knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety requirements.
• The ability to work a flexible rota, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Must have the Right to Work in the UK
