Applied Reinforcement Learning Engineer
About the job
- A Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field, or equivalent applied experience, is required.
- At least six years of combined reinforcement learning research and engineering experience is required.
- Strong proficiency in Python and modern deep learning frameworks is required.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major reinforcement learning library or in-house reinforcement learning stack is required.
- A solid understanding of probability, optimization, and the theoretical foundations of reinforcement learning is required.
- Experience designing and tuning reward functions in non-trivial environments is required.
- Familiarity with simulation environments and large-scale experience collection is required.
- Experience training neural network policies on GPU clusters is required.
- A track record of shipping or publishing impactful reinforcement learning work is required.
- Design, train, and deploy reinforcement-learning-based systems for high-impact decision-making problems.
- Take reinforcement-learning solutions from research into production, with attention to stability, safety, and ongoing improvement.
- Experience with reinforcement learning from human feedback for large language models.
- Familiarity with multi-agent reinforcement learning or hierarchical reinforcement learning.
- Exposure to robotics, control systems, or autonomous driving.
- Publications in reinforcement learning or related research venues.
- Open-source contributions to reinforcement learning libraries or environments.
