Requirements
  • A Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field, or equivalent applied experience, is required.
  • At least six years of combined reinforcement learning research and engineering experience is required.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and modern deep learning frameworks is required.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major reinforcement learning library or in-house reinforcement learning stack is required.
  • A solid understanding of probability, optimization, and the theoretical foundations of reinforcement learning is required.
  • Experience designing and tuning reward functions in non-trivial environments is required.
  • Familiarity with simulation environments and large-scale experience collection is required.
  • Experience training neural network policies on GPU clusters is required.
  • A track record of shipping or publishing impactful reinforcement learning work is required.
Responsibilities
  • Design, train, and deploy reinforcement-learning-based systems for high-impact decision-making problems.
  • Take reinforcement-learning solutions from research into production, with attention to stability, safety, and ongoing improvement.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with reinforcement learning from human feedback for large language models.
  • Familiarity with multi-agent reinforcement learning or hierarchical reinforcement learning.
  • Exposure to robotics, control systems, or autonomous driving.
  • Publications in reinforcement learning or related research venues.
  • Open-source contributions to reinforcement learning libraries or environments.
