Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and maneuver through crowds for the entire shift.
  • Must be able to reach, lift, stoop, bend, and perform extensive standing and walking, including stairs, throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to read and understand accepted identification forms, including passports, military identification, state identification cards, driver's licenses, and foreign-issued identification.
  • Must be able to comparatively identify valid versus false identification.
  • Knowledge of relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Must be able to proficiently ride skis or a snowboard.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with the required physical, visual, and auditory abilities, with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • May be required to lift 20 pounds to perform essential functions.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all appropriate signage related to the responsible sale of alcoholic beverages is posted in all bars and applicable areas.
  • Monitor compliance with company policy regarding portioning and limits on drink purchases.
  • Perform other alcohol-safety-related duties as assigned.
  • Support company initiatives within the department.
  • Ensure that no visibly intoxicated person is served alcoholic beverages.
  • Immediately report anyone observed serving minors or serving more than legal per-transaction or portion limits to management for appropriate disciplinary action.
  • Watch for pass-offs, such as handing an alcoholic beverage to a minor or visibly intoxicated person who cannot purchase it themselves.
  • Ensure that hours of service and cutoff times are observed.
  • When a ticket-holder violation is identified, immediately report it to management and work with security and local authorities to intervene when necessary.
  • Monitor and report compliance with company policy regarding appropriate identification checks for alcohol sales.
  • Monitor and report compliance with company policy regarding appropriate termination of alcohol service when necessary.
  • Monitor and report compliance with all other company policies as they are developed and deemed necessary.
  • Work early mornings, weekends, and holidays while the operation is open.

Crystal Mountain is a year-round mountain resort in Washington's Cascade Range and part of Alterra Mountain Company. It operates skiing and snowboarding terrain, lifts, lessons, rentals, dining and guest services during winter, with sightseeing and mountain activities extending the destination beyond the ski season. Resort employees work across mountain operations, hospitality, safety, food service and facilities. Crystal Mountain is distinct from similarly named resorts in other states, with its identity anchored to the Mount Rainier region.
