Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to make independent judgments and decisions.
  • Ability to work in a professional and confidential capacity.
  • Knowledge of personal computer applications and equipment.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and have a current, valid United States driver's license for at least six months.
  • Must become CPR and First Aid certified within two weeks of employment and Medication Administration Program certified within 150 days of employment.
  • All candidates must successfully pass a CORI, reference, multi-state background, and driving record check.
Responsibilities
  • Provide direct service to adults with mental health conditions in a group living environment or supervised independent living residential setting.
  • Help persons served overcome barriers to and prepare for living independently.
  • Implement treatment-plan support interventions as coached and supported by the Team LPHA Clinician.
  • Assume administrative officer roles in the program to support the Program Director's duties and responsibilities.
  • Liaise with families as needed.
  • Support persons served in obtaining and understanding medical and psychiatric care as needed.
  • Administer medications in accordance with Medication Administration Program policies and procedures.
  • Provide crisis interventions when needed.
  • Perform physical site maintenance.
  • Ensure a safe, comfortable, and clean environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • One year of experience as a residential counselor in a setting serving persons facing mental health challenges.
  • One to two years of job-specific experience in the human services field.
  • An Associate's degree in a human service discipline.
  • Bilingual or bicultural background.
  • Lived experience of psychiatric conditions.
