About the job
- A Bac+2 to Bac+5 qualification in ecology, environment, landscape, or ecological engineering is required.
- At least three years of experience in the same field is required.
- A valid Category B driving licence is indispensable.
- Knowledge of natural environments, including wetlands, waterways, and open environments, is required.
- Proficiency in ecological engineering and plant engineering techniques is required.
- Knowledge of project-management procedures, including PRO, DCE, ACT, VISA, DET, and AOR, is required.
- A good understanding of environmental regulations is required.
- The role requires strong writing ability, organization across multiple projects, client and contractor communication, autonomy, rigor, and teamwork.
- The role requires an interest in fieldwork and regular travel.
- Manage several operations simultaneously.
- Plan projects, monitor budgets, and coordinate internally and externally with contractors and the project owner.
- Lead internal and external meetings and report to the project owner.
- Develop technical specifications from management plans.
- Prepare financial estimates for works.
- Analyze contractor bids.
- Control ecological compliance during works.
- Lead construction-site meetings and write or review meeting minutes.
- Monitor and control schedules.
- Manage technical and environmental contingencies.
- Manage contractor claims.
- Receive completed works and prepare completion reports.
- Coordinate ecological engineering works and monitor their technical, ecological, and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor the financial performance of works contracts.
- Prepare technical and financial consultation documents and participate in analyzing bids for works contracts.
- Knowledge of geographic information system tools, particularly QGIS, would be appreciated.

Lochner, an Egis Group company, has appointed Karen Wiemelt to its Board of Directors. Wiemelt brings over 35 years of leadership experience in the nuclear and energy sectors, with expertise in programme management, environmental remediation and strategic planning. Wiemelt previously served as Senior Vice President and General Manager at Jacobs, where she led the company's global Energy, Security and Technology business unit. In that role, she managed a portfolio exceeding $1.5 billion in annual revenue and over 8,000 employees worldwide. She has also served on numerous industry and corporate boards. Founded in 1944, Lochner merged with Egis Group in July 2025, positioning it as the cornerstone of Egis' US growth strategy. Wiemelt holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.
