Requirements
  • proven track record in third-party distribution
  • broad knowledge of the mutual fund, SMA and ETF business and sales cultures
  • demonstrated ability to build long-term relationships
  • deep technical knowledge of portfolio construction
  • ability to leverage technologies to create custom analysis (Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, etc.)
  • excellent communicator
  • significant sales experience in the registered investment advisor space
  • well-versed in synthesizing information and presenting it in a distilled manner
  • one or more of the following designations: Series 7, 63, 66, AIF, AIFA, PPC, CIMA, and CFA
Responsibilities
  • lead sales initiatives in the RIA channel
  • identify firm and firm representatives needs and coordinate efforts to serve those needs
  • manage American Funds Distributions presence, relationships, and business results with key RIA firms
  • deliver motivational and informative presentations
  • set goals and measure performance against them
  • collaborate with other Senior Sales Force members to identify opportunity for better investor outcomes
