Requirements
  • Maintain a DoD 8570 IAT III or IAM II certification, such as CISA, GSE, SCNA, CISSP or CISSP Associate, CAP, GSLC, or CISM.
  • Maintain an ACAS 6.x certification that is less than three years old.
  • Possess an active Secret clearance before starting.
  • Have 5–7 years of ACAS and/or Nessus application management experience.
  • Have experience with ACAS Security Center, Nessus Vulnerability Scanners, and Nessus Agents.
  • Have knowledge of common cybersecurity toolsets and processes, including Security Technical Implementation Guidelines, Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert management and implementation, and Operation Order/Fragmentary Order support.
  • Have experience with virtualized environments, including vSphere and ESXi.
  • Have experience with ACAS Security Center and Nessus.
  • Understand scripting with Nessus Attack Scripting Language, Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
  • Understand subnet concepts.
  • Be able to follow policies and procedures.
  • Be able to communicate clearly and respond clearly to questions.
  • Be able to address negative situations and resolve them positively.
  • Be able to work possible off-hours to support releases and outages.
  • Be able to perform the physical activities required for the role, including occasional lifting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crawling, and manual dexterity.
  • Be able to communicate verbally, listen effectively, and maintain visual acuity for operating equipment, reading technical information, and using a computer keyboard.
Responsibilities
  • Support the design, implementation, and sustainment of the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution application across the Customer’s Government Enterprise Networks.
  • Assist with the deployment, configuration, and operation of ACAS for enterprise vulnerability management and cybersecurity compliance.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to internal and external Information System Security Officers and Information System Security Managers.
  • Troubleshoot ACAS-related issues and ensure effective platform use to maintain the enterprise security posture.
  • Install, patch, and maintain operating systems and ACAS applications.
  • Implement and document applicable Defense Information Systems Agency Security Technical Implementation Guidelines for ACAS implementations across supported network environments.
  • Administer the ACAS environment daily, including managing user accounts, groups, repositories, scan zones, and other system configuration changes.
  • Assess ACAS implementations across the Government Enterprise Networks and recommend performance, security, and operational improvements.
  • Ensure Government Enterprise Networks receive daily plugin and feed updates from the Defense Information Systems Agency/Department of Defense Patch Repository.
  • Ensure scheduled vulnerability scans cover all intended assets and troubleshoot failed or incomplete scans.
  • Provide technical support to customers experiencing ACAS scanning issues, including troubleshooting credentialed scans.
  • Maintain connectivity between Nessus Scanners, Passive Vulnerability Scanners, and the associated Security Center platform.
  • Develop, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures for each client ACAS implementation.
  • Generate and deliver reports, metrics, and documentation for operational, compliance, and management reporting.
