Requirements
  • Ability to use hand tools and follow blueprints or engineering specifications to diagnose and repair HVAC units.
  • Ability to inspect vehicles and maintain service, scheduling, repair, and maintenance records.
  • Ability to document assigned work, including time, progress, duration, parts, materials, labor, subcontractors, and other cost data.
  • Ability to read and interpret product specifications.
  • Willingness to work overtime or weekends as necessary.
  • Willingness to travel regularly, including occasional overnight travel.
  • Willingness to learn and maintain a positive attitude.
Responsibilities
  • Assist experienced technicians with installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for service work and site maintenance at national accounts.
  • Service products and equipment on assigned projects and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Identify, analyze, diagnose, and repair systems and products at customer locations.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, site surveys, replacements, and modifications as requested or needed.
  • Prepare for on-site installations and repairs by examining building layouts, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials, and coordinating on-site work as necessary.
  • Inspect vehicles for condition and cleanliness; maintain them by keeping service records, scheduling work, and completing repairs and maintenance.
  • Inspect equipment for signs of wear and notify the customer and/or Operations Manager of findings.
  • Document each job, maintain files, submit required paperwork and reports promptly, and record daily time, progress, duration, parts, materials, labor, subcontractors, and other costs; return unused resources.
  • Represent the company as a direct customer contact and provide technical support to customers.
  • Determine which parts to order for repairs and when they are needed.
  • Stay current on products and their installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair.
