- You have knowledge of medical billing/coding, front-office, physician practice management and healthcare business processes

- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and/or Medical Billing & Coding Certificate strongly preferred
- Three plus years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Advanced Excel skills such as the ability to use formulas to analyze data, create tables and Pivot tables, formatting and conditional formatting
- Extensive knowledge of medical billing/coding, front-office, physician practice management and healthcare business processes
- Strong understanding of various insurance carriers, including Medicare, private HMOs, and PPOs
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills required
- Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills required
- Excellent client-facing and presentation skills
- Ability to manage and integrate information located in multiple software systems
- Professional demeanor required
Responsibilities
- Manage overall medical billing processes, including:
- Create and actively manage Practice Performance Plans to ensure client health
- Ensure effective flow of demographic charge and payment information
- Oversee aggressive follow-ups with accounts receivables (A/R)
- Monitor fee schedules and insurance payments in order to ensure fully allowed reimbursement
- Identify and implements strategies to improve internal and customer processes
- Conduct weekly meetings with the RCM team to provide guidance and feedback regarding claims processing
- Leverage deep knowledge and understanding of clients' key practice revenue performance metrics to consult and advise our clients on a monthly basis:
- Denials trend management
- Office workflow efficiency opportunities
- Payer-related trend analysis and education related to policies and procedures for payers
- Payer online portal & gaining access
- ERA Enrollments
- Review and analyze customer accounts; identify trends and issues, recommend and implement solutions and see through to a successful resolution
- Provide a high level of value and customer service to both our client practices and their patients by identifying and efficiently resolving insurance and other billing-related issues
- Incorporate and execute quality assurance processes related to ensuring accurate customer billing activity
- Collaborate with geographically dispersed team members to improve overall client metrics
- Perform additional projects and job duties as assigned
