Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in a related technical field is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience is required.

Responsibilities
  • Apply the CORE Quality Blocks—Structured Problem Solving, Process Control Systems, and Reliable Quality—throughout the organization.
  • Perform professional quality engineering assignments of considerable complexity, including statistical analysis such as capability studies and design of experiments to evaluate processes.
  • Design, install, and continually evaluate quality assurance and quality control methods and systems.
  • Develop standards, procedures, and work instructions to provide quality guidance and facilitate training.
  • Identify, define, and recommend quality control issues.
  • Interpret technical data in mathematical or diagrammatical form.
  • Conduct training in internal auditing, mechanical inspection, and statistical techniques.
  • Develop sampling plans and statistical methods for manufacturing and inspection to assess product and process quality levels, including control points and charting methods.
  • Interface with engineering and coordinate measuring machine programmers to design fixtures and processes that ensure measurement-system effectiveness.
  • Conduct internal and external audits and supplier surveys to verify capability or compliance.
  • Coordinate and participate in material review activities to determine nonconforming-product dispositions and corrective actions.
  • Develop, generate, and analyze reports and returned products to identify trends and facilitate corrective actions and quality improvements.
  • Provide technical guidance to personnel on statistical process control and problem-solving techniques.
  • Plan, conduct, and take action regarding gauge repeatability and reproducibility, product capability, and process capability studies.
  • Perform quality engineering liaison activities to support internal and external customer service and satisfaction.
  • Provide other quality engineering support as assigned by the Quality Manager.
Desired Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer certification is preferred.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer certification is preferred.
  • Certified lead auditor experience is preferred.
