Our mission is to make a world where everyone has access to delivery. Where goods move as freely as information moves today.

This is possible. Today the cost of moving on a scooter is ₹2/km. That’s the cost of moving a 150kg mass from point A to B. We’re bringing that mass down to less than 5kgs, concurrently bringing the cost down to 10 paise/km. This is how we make deliveries a reality. This is how we create a world where we’re doing billions of deliveries per day.

The tech is not there. The current cost of drone delivery is ₹100/km. We need to completely redefine the way things are done here. We’re building the world’s most efficient aircraft from the ground-up, and scaling that up to beyond anything the aerospace sector has ever seen. This cannot be an iterative process. We have to tear down all conventions and build everything up from scratch.

To do this, we need nothing less than the best engineers. The ones who care about building something fundamentally different, who are deeply curious about understanding the fundamentals of everything they’re working on, who are dreamers that believe in the impossible.

About the Role

We are building something that hasn't existed before. This role owns how we communicate that to the world. You'll work directly with the Marketing Lead and own execution across content, communications, events, and employer brand. You're a generalist with a writing instinct. You know how to take something technical and make it legible without dumbing it down.

Key Responsibilities

• Brand and writing. Write across formats: brand narrative, press materials, case studies, blog posts, social copy, website copy, internal announcements, partner comms. Turn what we build into stories people remember. This is the core of the job.

• Brand voice and consistency. Define and protect how Airbound sounds and feels everywhere it shows up. Bring the instinct for taste and detail that consumer brands live by.

• Social and owned channels. Own Airbound’s LinkedIn and other channels. Not chasing engagement metrics, but building a credible, distinctive presence.

• Employer brand. Know what’s happening inside the company and make it compelling to the people outside it we want to hire.

• Media and PR support. Support press strategy and manage the day-to-day of our PR agency.

• Agency and creative partners. Brief and manage photographers, videographers, and agencies. Own the brief, the relationship, and the quality of the output.

• Events and activations. Run logistics and execution for industry events, partner meetings, and internal milestones.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• 5 to 8 years in brand, communications, content, or editorial, ideally where you built or shaped a brand people recognized.

• Experience building a consumer, D2C, or challenger brand from an early stage.

• Genuinely strong, fast writing.

• Comfort owning your output with minimal hand-holding, and staying sharp when the brief isn’t fully formed.

• A portfolio of writing and brand work you’re proud of. We will ask to see it. Applications without work samples won’t move forward.

Good to Have

• The ability to sit with an engineer, understand what they built, and turn it into something a non-engineer finds compelling.

• Experience in a startup, hardware, or otherwise ambitious environment where you set the bar rather than inherited it.

Who You Are

• A brand builder and writer with real taste, not a marketer who optimizes channels.

• You take pride in clear, compelling storytelling and sweat the details others skip.

• You’d rather build something people love than hit a dashboard target.

What this isn’t

• Performance marketing, growth, or digital. No paid media, media buying, SEO, martech stacks, lead gen, or funnel management. If that’s the work you want to do, this role will frustrate you. The job is brand, story, content, and execution.
