About the job

Requirements
  • 3–5 years of product management experience at a leading software company.
  • A track record of shipping products customers adopted, and the ability to explain what was learned when they did not.
  • Hands-on experience applying modern artificial intelligence or large language model tools, prompt engineering, or workflow automations to solve operational, data, or product problems, with an understanding of where artificial intelligence adds value versus hype.
  • Proven ability to dissect complex backend infrastructure, such as data pipelines, content management systems, metadata, or workflow logic, and make decisions grounded in product data, unit economics, and first-principles reasoning.
  • Credibility with engineers and designers earned through clarity and good decisions rather than authority.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and unfamiliar domains, as the role moves between products.
  • Must be based in Boston, work in the Seaport office Tuesday through Thursday, and be able to travel to Boulder, Colorado monthly.
Responsibilities
  • Drive high-priority product initiatives inside Music Brands from definition through launch in partnership with the Boulder product and engineering team.
  • Modernize core content infrastructure for Music Brands by working with asset production, content ingestion pipelines, metadata structures, and licensing workflows to build scalable, reliable systems.
  • Use customer research, product data, and first-principles reasoning to determine what is worth building instead of defaulting to the existing roadmap.
  • Work closely with engineers and designers by providing clear specifications, making fast decisions, and understanding constraints.
  • Define success measures before launch, track results, and act on the findings; partner with Boulder-based engineering and product teams.
  • Accelerate financial analysis through artificial-intelligence-enabled automation and productization.
  • Evaluate where artificial intelligence creates economic value across the businesses and drive those opportunities through to shipped, measured outcomes; assess effects on unit economics and distinguish meaningful opportunities from noise.
  • Assess newly acquired companies’ products, users, teams, and economics; determine what to fix, build, or stop, and work with the Head of Product to set product direction during the transition.
  • Help build shared portfolio infrastructure, including content infrastructure, data pipelines, and artificial intelligence capabilities; decide what should be centralized and what should remain brand-specific.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience as the first or only product manager on a product.
  • Experience inside a multi-brand or portfolio company, or through a post-acquisition integration.
  • Technical fluency in application programming interfaces, product analytics, SQL, or artificial-intelligence-assisted development.
  • Interest in music, education technology, or tools for instructors and creators.
