About the Job

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 12+ years of semiconductor design experience.
  • Solid analog circuit design fundamentals and experience designing fundamental analog blocks such as regulators, charge pumps, oscillators, current references, bandgaps, or comparators.
  • Proficiency with SPICE and Verilog modeling and simulation.
  • Ability to supervise physical layout work of analog circuits.
  • Experience collaborating with technical and non-technical teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design, optimize, and verify block-level analog and mixed-signal circuits for dynamic random-access memory projects.
  • Work with the internal data science team and electronic design automation vendors to leverage agentic artificial intelligence and improve artificial-intelligence-assisted design flow and circuit optimization.
  • Propose, evaluate, and implement new or improved circuit topologies to further enhance power, performance, area, and cost of the circuit block.
  • Improve design verification scope and coverage to increase circuit robustness and enhance mass-production yield.
  • Partner with global design groups and provide layout guidance through post-layout simulation.
  • Compare silicon performance with simulation results and support correlation activities.
  • Mentor junior circuit designers and operate with minimal supervision when independently defining solutions and methods.

Desired Qualifications

  • A Master of Science in Electrical Engineering with 12 years of experience or a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with 15 years of mixed-signal or analog integrated circuit design experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior demonstrated experience in dynamic random-access memory circuit design and 5+ years of circuit debugging experience with cross-functional teams.
  • Good understanding of device physics and complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor process technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach junior engineers.

About the Company

Micron Technology

Makes memory and storage chips for AI and PCs

Micron Technology designs and manufactures memory and storage chips, mainly DRAM and NAND flash, used in data centers, PCs, phones, cars and industrial equipment. It is one of only three companies that make HBM, the stacked high-bandwidth memory placed beside processors in AI servers, and it is the largest memory chipmaker based in the United States. Unlike chip designers that outsource production, Micron runs its own fabs and assembly sites in the United States and across Asia. It earns money by selling chips, memory modules and solid-state drives to cloud providers, device makers and distributors. Micron was founded in 1978 and is headquartered in Boise, Idaho.
